His words were 'more then a quarter of your points. Last time I checked 26% of 400 is more then 92.

But he could of been thinking of the ISD 2 not the ISD 1. If the ace is 92, then the deuce would likely be over 100. I VSD 2 is 12 points more then a VSD 1, I'd expect to see a ISD 2 to be at least that much more then a ISD 1.

But there is also a ton of wishful thinking in this thread. There's no way he'd be referring to a fully loaded ISD or even a single upgrade. No one refers to the cost of the ship and includes upgrades. Even with the Tie Interceptor in X-Wing people don't include the price of PtL even though 99.9% of the time they have it.

When he talks about the cost of a ship, he's referring to cost of the ship itself, not ship + upgrades.

It has 5 dice, 2 blue, and 3 black on the side arc vs 4 for a GSD. Blue dice make blacks hit harder because of the accuracies you can roll. Its probably what he means.

And, it probably has some sweet titles that make it hit even harder.

Current card shows 3 black and 2 blue on the side.

That's without any upgrades. That alone hits harder and has greater potential to lock down defensive tokens on the target.

Mind you, it hits harder on the sides; less on the front


That (and the token spread) REALLY define the ship


The imps front arcs define them as aggressive because their facing determines both their power and their movement


Shrimps have their power on the sides, and augment them with longer range dice (scout variant hinted to have red instead of blue). We've seen this already on fatties, and it makes them wonderful hit and run pains in the ass but not great at approaching directly. Shrimps seem to be similar (even augmented with extra evades for that long range staying power) difference being they don't take kindly to gladiators

For aggressive use of black dice, i hope you like your chess bishops because that'll be the shrimp for you

Thats not a criticism btw, i think it's going to be a fantastic ship. Thats just the balance factor, along with the (most likely) high points cost. I expect it to be more than a Gladiator, if not by much.

Wave 2 should open a lot of possibilities for both sides... very excited for it.

I kind of wish Zach from team covenant had spent a bit more time asking about armada, but glad to have something as opposed to nothing.

What? People talk in terms of ship plus upgrades all the time. It’s not unheard of for someone to say, “Sontir Fel is easily a third of your list” or “Han Solo is easily half your list.” To me the latter is the equivalent of “Han Solo is half your list, easy.” What you wouldn’t hear someone say is “Han Solo is 40 percent of your list, easy.”

It wouldn’t be absurd to say, “The YT-1300 is 40 percent of your list, easy.” All I’m expecting from the Alex Davy statement is that at least one of the ISD options will be less than 100 points.

I've never seen anyone say that. They may say a Fat Han is half your list, but that includes the upgrades. Also Alex likes to play with lots of ships, that means few upgrades and as such he wouldn't be thinking of the cost of a full upgraded ISD.

I'm totally someone that would over exagerrate slightly or assume upgrades included when making an off the cuff/casual statement like he did.

That really means nothing, because it's not you making the statement.

Based on the various interviews, and emails I've seen/read with Alex, he doesn't strike me as the type to do that. He means what he says, and so he means that at least one of the ISD's will be over 100 points.

That doesn't mean he couldn't be wrong, or didn't misspeak, but I don't believe he was thinking of an upgraded ISD when he was speaking.

But we'll likely never know for sure, unless he says something so I'm not going to worry about it until we know for sure how much they cost.
