Small tournament Scum HWKs list

So I am playing in a small local tournament in a couple of weeks and was hoping for some list critique. I really love the Scum HWKs and want to take Palob and Torkil as I think their abilities are just great. The list is:

Torkil Mux, Ion Cannon Turret (24)

Palob, Ion Cannon Turret, Recon Specialist (28)

Kath Scarlet, Engine Upgrade, K4 Security Droid, PTL (48)

The idea being that the HWKs abilities and Ion Cannons make them so threatening/annoying that they have to be taken out first (hence the Rec Spec on Palob to make him more survivable). Meanwhile, Kath is dishing out the hurt by doing a green move to get a TL from the K4 and then PTL to focus/boost. During the end game Kath can instead focus/evade to make her more survivable.

Things I worry about are high PS arc dodgers as my PS is relatively low. I thought about VI on Kath instead but I feel this takes away from her attack/defensive power. Also considered putting Rec Spec on her with PTL but I think K4 synergizes better as I will be doing greens after PTL anyway.

Any thoughts you have on this would be greatly appreciated. I mostly just want to have fun at the tournament and am not worried about being super competitive (hence the HWKs) but I do want to try and do well too! I will try to write up a battle report of the tournament once it is done too. Thanks.

I really like VI on Kath with EU and K4. VI is going to be worse in some match ups than PTL but I think those are the matchups you'll tend to be strong in. PTL isn't a bad choice though, especially with all of the actions that a Firespray with Engine Upgrade has to choose from.

If you switch to VI, you'll have 2 points left over. That's enough to switch the Ion Cannons out for Twin Laser Turrets when those are released but for the time being I'd look at putting Inertial Dampeners on Kath. Being able to decide not to move with her can be huge.

Played a couple of games with this on Vassal, I am really liking it! Used the PTL variant that I described above and it paired really well with K4. Admittedly the highest PS that my opponent had was 7 so I still haven't seen how it fairs against high PS pilots. Hopefully going to try the VI version this week against some higher PS ships. I think the general setup is great though as the HWKs need to be killed first but Kath is brutal if left alone. Also learnt that the HWKs need to be kept together for maximum effectiveness, tried splitting them up in one game and they weren't nearly as scary for my opponent to go near when on their own.

I have a similar list to this, and love flying it. It's dirty fun, and very adaptable to different threats. The only changes I have are Expert Handling on Kath, and Greedo on Torkhil.

I have reservations about Greedo as it seems that you would be dealing crits to yourself a lot more often than to enemies. The HWK having only 1 shield and 2 evade dice makes it vulnerable to Greedo and I worry that by the time you got through the shields of a fat turret, for example, then the HWK would be either crippled or dead. Has this been your experience or has it worked out well for you?
