Ok watching this just gave me goosebumps all over. I'm getting a strong Rogue Squadron vibe from it. I think this trailer just sold Battlefront to me. I just hope dog fighting is not as clunky in this as it was in Battlefield.

Or maybe they have decided that in the new canon Rogue Group is only the Snowspeeder Squadron. Since in the movies you never see it used for X-Wings.
When you think about it, its odd that they would use Red Squadron for the Battle of Endor if Rogue Squadron was such a big deal. I dont know why Timothy Zahn didnt just make "Red Squadron" the name for the elite squadron.
About the game itself. I wish there was a way to play these beautiful games without the interface and all the helpers. Its beautiful, but imagine how great it would be if you didnt have a big red circle and a VEHICLE DAMAGED text every time you hit an enemy.

After watching the trailer a few more times a thought crossed my mind that left me wondering if DICE has kept to canon by giving Rebel starfighters shields and Ties having none. Somehow I felt that it may entirely be possible that DICE may forgo that detail for the sake of gameplay balance. That would be suck if it were true.
Before this I was sceptical with it just being ground combat, now we have a mode for air combat I'm in.

So looks like 6 flyable craft so far. I'd be surprised if Vaders Tie Advanced wasn't a flyable hero unit. Now I don't know why they can't throw this mode into space.

Oh man you aren't kidding. The prop plane physics in that game were marvelous. I played Britain and El Alamein all the time. Spitfires 4 lyfe
I do like the graphics. I just wish it was less gamey and more simulation style like the old PC games felt.

There might be a way to get rid of this in display setting when the game comes out. You never know. Also, hardcore game modes tend to not have those prompts. That might be the gametype for you if it exists in this game.
What's a ps4 cost? May have to cut open the mattress.
Battlefield games have hardcore modes I believe, so there's a solid chance they implement it. Can't wait to see how the joystick controls are.
