SW Battlefront: Fighter Squadron Combat Trailer
You'll also probably default to whatever your friends have - especially if choosing a new console for this game (like I am) - the majority of the friends I will want to play online with have the Xbox - I'm not interested in getting into a technical hardware pissing contest - I'd like to just play the game with my friends.

Not so much for online multiplayer: https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5060/~/ps4-online-multiplayer-requirements

Not for playing multiplayer online. With the PS4 they changed that policy. You have to pay for both when it comes to Battlefront

That stinks. Playstation is still better. I use a ps4 controller with my ps3. It's so much better. Between this, Destiny, and bloodborne I'm so close to buying the ps4 now... except the episode 7 secret wave will steal that money. Maybe I can eat PBJ every meal through easter.
Meh!
No B-Wings

The games have gotten great in the last few years. This looks sweet!
Visuals have gotten really great but game play not so much, it's just console shooter after console shooter these days
Starcitizen + rift
Good luck in keeping up with that consoles!

The PS4 will have Valkyrie plus Morpheus. Probably much sooner than star citizen ever comes out.
Planetside is looking at you
Call me crazy I actually like Planetside 1 better than Planetside 2. Yeah it had it's flaws but the environment was more interactive and thus forced a more teamwork and strategic gameplay.
Planetside 2 was nothing more than Battlefield online with planetside space paint. You didn't have to hack open doors or control consoles anymore, now standing in a little hill zone was all it took to capture a control point. No storms or weather effects, no need to work on the AMS fight as anyone can spawn anywhere thus there is no front or flanking action. Everyone at the crown and who ever had the most players and spammed the most sundeeres won the fight.
Now not saying that planetside 1 didn't have issues or planetside 2 didn't improve anything. The gun play was a little more streamlined and had more useful weapons, although they were missing a lot of the them that the other factions had, especially with the heavy assault weapons and the vanu energy setting weapons. The night cycle looked way better than the night filter on Planetside. Still I prefer the classic version.
Sometimes old is good
Battlefield 1942 is still my favorite in the series
Driving the aircraft carriers, destroyers subs etc.
Being the rear gunner in one of the torpedoe planes as you took out your opponents ships.
Battlefield has never been the same since
It's come a long way, but I wish they'd redo 1942 but on the scale of planet side.
That would just be epic
THREAD DERAILMENT INCOMING!!!
ME3 was far and away my favorite of the series (which is my favorite series of games to date). The ending is almost inconsequential to me compared to the heart wrenching character moments I had along the way. My choices did matter and cost me some of my favorite characters in the game to do what I thought had to be done for the Galaxy.
As far as the ending, I loved the indoctrination theory so much, that I was disappointed when they fixed the actual ending.

...incidentally, the Extended Cut didn't rule out the Indoctrination Theory. In fact, the Leviathan DLC which followed was pretty much a gift for Indoctrination Theory fans. A gift, wrapped in shiny paper with a pretty little bow on top.
Also, that multiplayer was far better than it had any right to be.
No kidding. I still play it to this day (on and off). Nothing like dragging a team of scrubs through a Gold match by the scruff of their necks. The free DLC support for multiplayer was amazing, especially once they added hazard maps and the Collectors. I clocked some serious hours on that multiplayer, and the only multiplayer game I enjoyed more was probably Left 4 Dead.
That seems to be the case sadly but I was referring to the game "Rogue Squadron".
After watching the trailer a few more times a thought crossed my mind that left me wondering if DICE has kept to canon by giving Rebel starfighters shields and Ties having none. Somehow I felt that it may entirely be possible that DICE may forgo that detail for the sake of gameplay balance. That would be suck if it were true.
There was an article about the new mode I think it was IGN that posted it but TIEs have the ability to get a speed boost where as rebel ships can get a shield boost, so it definitely seems like they're keeping everything canon and balanced which is nice to see.
Removed and reposted in another thread. Sorry!

Wrex. Shepard.
Love the Mass Effect series. Best sci fi franchise since Star Wars itself.
ME3's gameplay was definitely the best out of the series, but for me ME2 was the winner. Most exporation, some really compelling missions and bonus content, the Collectors were a better enemy concept than the Reaper troops all round, and DAT SUICIDE MISSION. ME3's Priority: Earth should have been ME2's suicide mission, but ramped up to 11. With entire species as potential casualties.

I've played through the series multiple times, and in all of those play throughs ME3 is only my favorite in one of them (my first and main). As a Renegade who cares about my crew, the choices I had to make haunt me. HAUNT me. I still tear up a little thinking about them. As a paragon or a jerk of a renegade, 2 is definitely the best game. But that first play through... Man, best/worst (in a good way) gaming experience I've had.
The indoctrination theory is still valid, but less plausible.
Interesting story about MacBooks. So I bought a Mac Pro in 2010. It lasted a little over 9 months and then stopped booting up. Now I did not abuse it or anything, I do play music and used garage band extensively to record so I guess the only abuse it got was using it too much. Anyways I took it to a repair shop and was told the logic board failed and it costs 700 dollars to replace! Fortunately it was under warrantee so they fixed it. 3 months later logic board failed again this time it's out of warrantee and I wasn't about to pay 700 when the machine is only barely a year old. If you google "MacBook Pro logic board failure" you'll see it's a huge problem and they still have not fixed the issue with even the latest model. I went to an Apple Store to get my iPhone screen fixed as I dropped it and it cracked and while I was waiting I overheard a woman talking with an apple rep about her MacBook Pro. It was like my conversation 5 years ago... Apple rep: "I'm sorry but it appears your logic board failed"...woman: "what's that?"..apple rep: "that's your motherboard or brains if you will of your computer, it's the most expensive part and costs 700 dollars to fix"...woman: "oh my!". Anyways after he was done I went up to her and asked her what year her MacBook was and she told me it was this years model. Don't get me wrong they are very good machines however I believe the problem lies with the heat buildup in them. They get extremely hot and there are no internal fans or coolers to blow the heat out. This coupled with the logic boards not holding up to that kind of heat makes for bad things. If I were to get a Mac I would get an iMac but steer clear of MacBooks until they fix that heating/logic board issue. The razer has been getting good reviews as of late and has very good specs if you like the look of a MacBook. You'll get way more inside that thing then you will with a MacBook and they are superior in quality. They still get hot but they have a way to cool themselves with heat sinks if I remember right and their service is great. Also no logic board issues or any really big issues for that matter. I'm telling you google the MacBook stuff and you'll be surprised how many posts there are about it. Now I know some people who have had a MacBook for years and no problem so I'm wondering too if it's the QC where the logic boards are made. That's just my 2 cents on that.
As far as ps4 vs Xbox... I actually own both but first owned a ps4 then later traded in my 360 and controllers to get Xbox one for 100 bucks. If you read about the two you'll see they are pretty similar however Sony designed the ps4 with developers in mind. They actually brought developers in to help design the thing so it would be easier for them to make games. Last generation Sony made their system so complex developers hated it. Anyways the ps4 and Xbox one were benchmarked and again if you google it you'll see that the Xbox processor is clocked at 1.76 while the ps4 is 1.6 which isn't much. However the gpus are where the ps4 shines, the ps4 sits at 1.84 teraflops while the Xbox sits at 1.31. Also they both have 8 gigs of ram but again Sony beats MS by using ddr5 ram while ms uses ddr3. Ddr5 is pretty much standard in all decent pc's these days. Now you prolly won't see any differences between the 2 systems yet since they are still newish, later one tho you should expect to see some differences once developers start needing to utilize more power and that's when the ps4 will really shine above the Xbox. As of right now tho it's pretty much preference but just know the ps4s internals are better. I also like the ps4 controller better myself, the Xbox controller seems a little big for my taste. Lastly the ps4 is a heck of a lot slimmer than the Xbox. The Xbox is pretty monstrous. Also the Xbox comes with a ginormous power block you have to plug in. The ps4 is just a normal cord. So imo if the specs don't matter to you or exclusive games but you have limited space, then go with the ps4. It definitely takes up less space and shoot your getting better internals too.
Edited by Jaden CkastI'm not at all surprised about the macbook heat issues, it's just stupid not having fans just to make it slimmer. It's a shame, I use to really like Apple, now I'm getting more & more turned off by what I'm hearing about it. I'm still planning on getting an iMac though, just because of the OS. I looked into building a hackintosh, but it looks to be a little outside my comfort zone. A cheep refurbished iMac and a PS4/Xbox 1 will suit my needs for much less it seems.
You guys are kind of selling me on the PS4. I like the idea of a more future proof machine and Planetside 2 looks sick. Also I hate the 360's controller layout, especially the bumper buttons, I'll have to try the new ones out a a gamestop or something.
It seems like the only thing Xbox has going for it is that my one gamer friend has one.
Thanks for all the advice guys.

Yeah, me too. Paragon & Renegade, MeerShep & HaleShep, different love interests, different choices, usually with all the DLC...
...I'll still only ever choose red at the end of it though. No matter what choices I make through the series, only red ever makes sense.
Hardest decision for me in ME3 was the fate of the Geth. First time around I made peace between the Geth and the Quarians. After playing ME2 again though, every time since then I've sided with Tali's people.
The indoctrination theory is still valid, but less plausible.
Less plausible given the direction they're taking with Andromeda? Maybe. But ever since the release of Leviathan I've been 100% sure in my own mind of the interpretation. Starbrat's "choice" is all in Shepard's head.
My manshep was a total **** he did alot of bed hopping, my femshep renegade stayed loyal to liara and was carrying her child.
There's a reason so many got upset we were really invested in those characters because the story was so good.

Oh yeah, it's clear that some missions in ME3 had much more time, thought and effort spent on them than others. Take the Tutchanka and Rannoch arcs, for example, and compare them to Palaven and Thessia. Priority: Earth was a huge let down for a lot of people, especially in terms of decisions made, cause/effect, action and interaction with your team (goodbyes at a terminal? Really?), but the ending wasn't all bad.
The less said about Kai Leng though, the better.
edit: I'd love to see FFG pick up a license for a Mass Effect miniatures game/board game.

Ya iMacs are good. The MacBooks really need some sort of cooling system in my opinion, sure they are awesome looking and quiet but at the expense of logic board failures? Like I said the razer laptops are almost identical to what a MacBook looks like and yet they are able to incorporate heat sinks into theirs. Just seems like sloppy design on apples part. I love their phones tho I'll never use anything else. Forgot to mention also the Xbox does all for cable pass thru. So if you have an hd cable box you plug the hd cord into your Xbox and then from Xbox to TV and now your Xbox can do some pretty cool stuff, I think they are going to allow free dvr recording with it too. Again tho you need an hd cable box or it won't work. I don't have one so it does me no good but a few friends have it and it's pretty cool.
