I am not very good at painting things this small but painting the fighters really adds punch to their look on the table.

Job well done.
I couldn't agree more; fighters might be a little awkward to paint, but it's worth it for the visual punch that they lend to the tabletop. These really are looking great mate, very well done.
Hmm, the imperial fighters are looking nice and uniform, but can we get some more up-close pictures of some of those rebel squadrons? I'm always interested in seeing how people paint up their more individual fighters.
Lets see, minor suggestion is one I basically say to everyone: If you can, it might be good to try and pick up a blue highlighter, an orange highlighter, and a black sharpie to touch up the cardboard edges (dials, activation slider, etc). It just makes the whole display look more complete and compliments all the hard work you put into painting those fiddly little models ![]()
Wow, everything looks superb! I second more close up pics of the Rebels.
Didn't repaint the ships?
Thank you all for the nice feed back.
Good idea on edgeing the card board with markers, I will give it a go forthwith. thank you.
I will work on some close ups on the rebels for you all.
and I just added some color to two of the big ships just messing around.
so here are the close ups and I also painted all my bases black and did the marker trick to the card board. I think they are looking kick ass ![]()
and this is the 3D rocks I just started.
Now thaaat's what I'm talkin' about. Awesome job mate, absolutely terrific! The aces look like aces (subtle but distinct), colours on the Y-wing are great, white is still a clean and sharp choice, all of them look great and you should be proud of them too. But I particularly like those green squadron X-wings: I tried that colour scheme and just couldn't make it work.
I saw something like those asteroids in BFG years back, I still love the concept. With a quick drybrush those'll be great. Did you have any plans for the debris field?
Not only is this a great job but I think you found Voltimort's Nose there by your ties.
These look very good. I am happy when I see painted Squadrons on the field. I've painted all of mine. Painting the Squadrons adds a surprising amount of atmosphere to the game.
