Starting Over or Continue in Campaign After Finale

By cuberner, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Hi all, so we are approaching the end of the campaign and I know we are going to be itching for more. If we wanted to play more campaign, since there are missions that we did not do, how do you suggest we do that? Do we start over from the beginning, and just see how we progress this time around? Take out missions already played? Anybody done this before?

We're at this point in my campaign. The easiest thing to do we found was reset and start again. But this time they had to pick new heroes (no one could be the same hero twice) pick new ally side missions and I chose a new batch of extra side missions and agenda cards. The game changed alot. But were waiting for Twin Shadows before really kicking off again.

When twin shadows is out, can you start that as a continuation of your old campaign or do you have to start fresh with 0 XP and stuff?

If it follows Descent's model, you will start fresh, but with 2-4XP and a few credits to spend at the beginning of the campaign, to compensate for the shorter campaign.

Judging by the fact that our group's heroes were basically indestructible slaughter machines by the end of the campaign (Vader got one activation before they turned him into a red smear on the floor), I don't think there's much mileage into carrying those same characters into another campaign. YMMV of course.

They also only need a few more XP to max out their class deck, after which there's nothing new for them to discover.

I suspect future campaigns will start with fresh heroes (even if not always from 0 XP).
