Zuckuss with FCS, gunner, and opportunist. A 4 dice attack followed by a Target Locked 5 dice attack.
Also, since red dice > green dice, when would you actually choose not to use Zuckuss's ability?

Edited by quasistellarOpportunist only affects one attack per activation, so you'd have to shed the stress between attacks in order to use it twice.
Zuckuss ability 1st attack, then Zuckuss, FCS, Opportunist on the Gunner attack
I think you'd save opportunist for the second shot. You're opponent has to choose to spend a token and take what was rolled or they are risking another shot with a TL and an additional die of damage.
I agree, a very nice ability he has there since numbers are on your side. But i would not pump too much points into the ship. It has Y-Wing grade durability. You can put a cloak on it, but the defendive options are limited so i would not put all my eggs into the Zuckuss basket. Keep him cheap and you will not regret taking him however.
If you want gunner to trigger with FCS, don't even use his ability on the first attack. Even though you increase the defender also, 4 dice will hit often or they'll take one to avoid the follow up attack. Then, 5 dice and target lock :-)
Edited by Engine25Oh, and could also throw in Glitterstim.
You're right though: this thing is between Y and B wings in durability. Actually depending on the dial, this thing could be a very solid heavy fighter similar to the B-wing.

Heck just classic gunner FCS would be solid on Zuckuss.

Probably closer to the B-Wing - 1 more hull, 1 less shield, but it has Evade.
Edited by TipperaryDo you have to trigger Zuckuss' ability on the first shot? It would increase your odds of getting a poor shot through the first time.

The way it reads, I don't think you have to.

Nothing limits it to first-shot only. Or once-per-turn, for that matter:
"When attacking, you may roll 1 additional attack die. If you do, the defender rolls 1 additional defense die."
