Hello guys ! Just wanted to get your opinion on the Leading Shots upgrade card !

I really want to live it but I have trouble seeing its use. Right now, it can only fit on the CR90B and the Victory II.

It seems that it really shines with ships that can throw a load of dice per attack, so that spending the one blue dice isn't that big of a deal. I can understand the interest with Dodonna's Pride or a CR90B in order to mitigate rolling triple accuracies, but it does feel a bit wasted because blue dices aren't super damaging. I have a feeling this upgrade would work wonders on ships that can throw many red dice (example Victory II with Concentrate Fire throwing 4 red dice) simply due to the double damage possibility.

I love it on dodonna's pride since you aren't needing a bunch of hits your just going for one crit

Well, I've found that Dodonna's Pride actually work better when you don't go only for the critical. Because your opponent needs to choose to spend his defense tokens before you choose to resolve the critical effect of Dodonna's Pride, having 3 total damage on the dice might force him to reduce this to 2 with brace and redirect. Then you go all troll on him and just swap it for a crit leaving him with one or more defense tokens burnt. So basically, if you deal 3 damages and he doesn't spend tokens it's better to inflict them directly and if he chooses to really mitigate your firepower, he takes a crit to the face and spent his defense tokens for nothing

But because of the wording of Leading Shots it might work with Dodonna's Pride firing from its front arc with 4 dices. That way if it whiffs, you can reroll 3 dices by spending one blue dice (and thus increase the damage potential from which you'll force him to make the trade off), rather than 2 lonely dice. Then the side shot is just an extra free crit.

I have been playing dodonna's pride wrong it didn't click with me that it would take effect after defense tokens!

Also not to be that guy but the plural for dice is dice not dices die is the singular.

Great up grade on dodonnas pride. I always try and get two face up crits I can choose, when using dodonna himself, by concentrate fire and using it to get two 3 blue dice shots at a target with rerolls. Two crits I can choose is such a devastating thing to any ship. That ship and Luke sky walker with tallon and yavaris is the bane of any ship.
