Hey all,
I managed to get 3 games in last thursday, where me and my buddy proxied R2, C-3PO and Boba Fett. Thought I'd report back.
I ran:
Luke (10)
Elite Sabs (7)
Elite Sabs (7)
Sabs (5)
R2 (3)
C-3PO (2)
Mak (3)
Gideon (3)
He ran:
Boba Fett (13)
Temporary Alliance (1)
Royal Guards (8)
Royal Guards (8)
Officer (2)
Officer (2)
Stormtroopers (6)
Boba Fett
He's a beast. We played on the Kuat map (I think? The one with the laser that moves up from the bottom of the board, and where controlling Terminals gets you 5 VPs at the end of the round), and he spent the whole time in that thin corridor on the right. Movement 6 meant he could pop out, shoot and pop back in. Helped by the occasional officer order.
The times I tried to focus on him, he ran away to safety and towards the end game, he was recovering all day. I got him down to 2 HP at one point.
R2-D2
I love this little droid. He did exactly what I thought he would. Ran up to a terminal, drew me loads of extra cards, kept repairing himself and was very hard to kill. At key points he stunned some RGs. He lived to the very end of the match.
His card is really good - particularly on this map, imagine playing it with 30+ VPs and just winning? Either way it was strong in the first round, when I played it. It gave me 10 VPs, drew me two extra cards and effectively wasted my opponent's stormtrooper activation - as they had gone to grab the other terminal.
He's a great role player for 3 pts
C-3PO
He's cool - but is essentially a worse Gideon. Which is fine, I'm more than happy with a 2 point activation and the ability to get two focus giving activations for only 5 points.
He does die super quick though, and his distracting ability does't go off that often, as he's left behind by his low speed.
EDIT: forgot to mention we were using the new pass rule too. It's good.
