I'm also very excited for the K-wing and Punisher. For scum, I actually like the wave 8 ships more than wave 7.

Mist hunter actually looks like it could be the B-wing for Scum (hope the lowest pilot, which is skill 3, is 22 or 23 points!)

PS3 @ 22 points would outclass the B-wing, and out-joust the just released Kithraxz. You thought BBBBZ was bad? Wait till MMMMZ is just as good and has a PS bid on 'em. Not happening.

PS3 @ 23 points would be parity with B-wings, with a non-negotiable PS bid. It would still be very efficient.

PS3 @ 24 points would be parity (after PS adjustment) with Bwing/E-2 - short of the cannon slot, and trading Barrel Roll for Evade (Which is not a bad swap on Agi1 at all), these two would be spot on. It should be noted that this is also the price for the visible ace pilot adjusted for PS, assuming his ability is worth 0 points. +1 red/+1 green is probably 0 points.

My money is on 23 or 24. I wouldn't be sad with either; given how cautious the developers have been with Scum small ships to date (Not a single new one hasn't been a teeny mite overpriced; even the Kithraxz could've been 19 points!)... yeah, probably 24, and the hope that the upgrade bar can buy its way back to efficiency. Given it has one that's truly phenomenal (Systems! Crew! Illicits! Elite! Four of the best in the game, right there!)... it probably will.

"Deathrain" is an all-star with bombs, especially the proximity-targeted ones (prox, conner, cluster). I flew him at GenCon where he Conner-ed a nearly-full-health Bossk off the table (which denied the Nashtah launch!), and took several hits from cluster bombs he dropped last night. The free-barrel-roll-on-drop also saved my opponent's bacon a few times when he was facing an asteroid- throw away an ion bomb, roll clear of the rock, and keep on truckin'. Punishers are scary guys (and so is Bossk with Greedo crew!).

Speaking of the Tooth, I haven't made good use yet of Maneuvering Fins or the cannon slot, and it dies in a hurry when small ships get in behind. I try to fly it with rear cover but haven't gotten those tactics down quite yet.

Deathrain is the most promising pilot of waves 7 and 8 up until now and by far has the most unique ability. What king of escort where you flying him with?

Wave 7 needs to show up in stores soon! That's all that matters right now, let's just get Wave 7 and the Raider already!!

I was flying Deathrain with something like Vessery and a Saber interceptor. I don't remember exactly.

EDIT: It may have been Deathrain + lots of bombs, Vessery + cannon, and Dark Curse.
