Wave 7 will both be everywhere before Aug 15th and yet also released in the first week of Sept.

Next, unless FFG has been really, really bad about keeping things updated on their upcoming page regarding wave 7. There's no way possible it will be here next week.

Also the TFA stuff. Since they can't even announce it until Sept 4th, which is a Friday, it seems unlikely they'll be in stores before the end of the week. Not unless they have a ton of product sitting in the stores, and can trust that some LGS isn't going to leak what they're sitting on...

and said FFG wants it out for Christmas because Wave 9 is BIG

And Chris said that while they want to get Wave 8 out yet this year, it may not be out until 2016...

My guess is we're getting new X-wings and TIE fighters for Sept.

That's what most of us expect. But a new core set is at best questionable for reasons that's been gone over a number of times here.

I tried to get info on Clone Wars ships/expansions...and the only answer I get is "perhaps".

It's been said a number of times now by Chris and others, that there will never be Clone Wars or other Prequel ships in X-Wing, and everything points to Disney not allowing it either.

I actually think the no prequel thing is an FFG thing. They were well set against prequel stuff since before the buyout, and LFL shifted focus onto OT for the new films.

Here's what I know from Mouse sources. There is a a bunch of secret Episode VII stuff that will be announced very soon and it will be on store shelves in September. This is important, as this is when department stores put out their holiday stuff. All eyes on D23 is all the more I can say (and really know).

And this... because I can't contain it anymore (plus it leaked...)

I actually think the no prequel thing is an FFG thing.

It's both. As you pointed out FFG said no prequels when George still owned everything. But it also seems that Disney wants to leave the prequels in the past, so they wouldn't approve FFG including them even if they wanted to.

Not with X-Wing they haven't. So far there's been one ship that has shown up in less then 8-10 weeks after it's status has been updated. That was the GR75 transport. Other then that, every ship so far has made it to stores 8-10 weeks after the status was changed.

So while anything is possible, the safe assumption is 8-10 weeks after the status changes, because that's been true for 95% of the stuff so far. So there's no reason to believe that Wave 7 will be here anytime before end of Sept or even early Oct.

Yes but most of us knew that already. Sept 4th is TFA toy day, the day that all/most the new toys for the movie will be revealed. That is I expect the day we'll find out what FFG has for TFA ships in X-Wing, and perhaps for other games as well.

I've heard nothing reliable about when Wave 7 will hit.

But I have for the Raider. CSG's is now stating August 11th.

The Raider went on the boat on July 1st. If it's in stores end of next week, that would make it about 7 weeks. Which is a bit faster then normal but still on par for what's typical of other expansions.

Wave 7 is still listed 'on the boat' so the idea of it being here next week, is I have to say implausible. It was put on the boat a good 3 weeks after the Raider, so odds are it will be in stores 3-5 weeks after the Raider is. So mid to end of Sept most likely.

Edit: In fact the Raider is listed as Shipping Now, so yeah it will be in stores next week sometime.

When you say never say never I assume the 3 ships will be T-70, TIE-cog, and N-1.

From what I've heard the new toys for TFA can't be announced until Sept 4th. If the Raider is in stores next week, it's possible to see Wave 7 in stores on the first or second week of sept.

Now if what Chris said really means that the TFA stuff is being shipped now, which means it could be on the same boat as Wave 7. That means it's likely they'd have both in stores at the same time. But that all depends on how soon it gets here and when they're allowed to reveal what they made.

I here a lot of talk about the Mouse. Yes, Disney is good at merchandising.

But we are talking about Lucas Arts and Star Wars here, they invented merchandising for a movie. Everything Disney does (and does well) around merch they learned from Lucas Arts' example.

Watch the documentary Plastic Galaxy. They had a bunch of issues with Episode IV as what they were doing was basically new, but by the time Episode V came along, they were a machine.

That being said, I can see them trying to shoot for everything to get released on Black Friday.

My source told me exactly what was gonna be in Wave 8, two months ago; and said FFG wants it out for Christmas because Wave 9 is BIG and they want to announce '9' by the end of Feb2016.

My guess is we're getting new X-wings and TIE fighters for Sept. and a new core set in Wave 9... with Rogue One movie ships for Wave 10.... Huge ships and an Aces pack poppin up in between waves.

We've already had a few product leaks from retailers stocking TFA merchandise. Does anyone still think any retailers are capable of actually pulling this off leak-free? Or are we just looking at a 9/4 ship date to retailers?
