Hello Guys,

Well I finally got round to Finishing some of the Conversions I was Working on a while ago

So here are the finished Modification's and Re-paints of my first Batch of Scum Flyers.

Here are the Conversions at last Glance,

Finished Models, Which have been doing very well on the Gaming Tables !

The YT 2400 Was the first I did, just thought I would throw a few more Pic's in

First Wing Conversion of a Z95....

Nice! I remember seeing your 2400, and was blown away. These all look fantastic. I MUCH prefer that modded Z to the stock ones

My First Re-paint of a Star Viper......These ships are Fantastic on the Gaming Table.....building some Conversions of these

at the Moment, I like the fact they Dont look very Star Wars, And would be right at home in the Babylon 5 universe !

Here is the First of my Tie fighter Conversion's.

this is just a test to see if it works, its not properly finished yet and has a rushed coat of paint so that I could give it a trail run.

Here is the Second of my Wing Conversions of a Z95.

I like the low slung wings and engines of the E wing, so I thought I would go down a Similar road with a Z95.

Yes it will Handle like a Pig in the Atmosphere, But I like the way it looks.

Have another two Z95's to try out some other configurations on now....as I also need the Wing Missile Pods for my

Y wings !

Wow.

What a squadron! mind telling me how you achieved the red cracked marble effect on the viper? Was it just a case of a really tiny brush and a really long time painting? It's a great look, and I might try and do something similar. Any tips would be appreciated...

This is the First of my Winged Y wings.....I'm building another three !

The YT is my favourite conversion so far, and this is my second.

I like the look of the Y wings, but I also like the fact that it is a great Platform to do many modification's too.

This Model Has the Missile Pods from a Z95, Shortened Engine Nacelles and Plastic Card Wings.

Nice and simple to build But changes its look completely.

Thanks for you comments my Friend, Glad you like them

The effect on the wings of the Starviper is Easier than you think.

I firstly Painted the model as per normal, finishing with the red on the inside edge of each wing.

And then, With a 0.05 fine line pen.

I drew in the lines of each wing, and then basicly drew all over the wing very lightly, almost sketching with the pen and criss crossing all over the surface.

the trick with fine liners is too have a piece of clean paper....so you can clean the nib every so often.

and spray the model with a Matt clear once you have finished, so as to protect the pen work you have done.

The cockpit windows on my YT2400 were drawn on with the same fine liner, and I also used it on some of the other Cockpit windows.

The exact pen I use is called... uni pin FINE LINE. nib size 0.05 Made by Mitsubishi Pencil.Ltd

These are great, glad to see your progress. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Those are some nice conversions. My favorite part of warhammer was conversions but I haven't had the time or the gutz to try conversions of my x-wing stuff.

Awesome work! All the more because of their small size. My eyeballs hurt just thinking about them.

I am still covetous of that 2400. Again great job.

Good stuff as always. I especially like the Starviper. That cracked effect looks bloody gorgeous.

Its Been a while since I have had the time to get back behind my desk, and get on with some more

X wing Mod's.

Here is another Y-Wing Modification, like the K-wing. this one is an all out Bomber.

" There's life in the old girl yet ! "

Added larger wings than my previous Y-wing build, and also added some ordnance under the wings.

the missiles are from small snap fast F14-F18 model kits.

Also added pods from a Z95 and the Qaud laser cannon from the Decimator " Which is also being heavily modified ! "

I'm thinking about painting it in a modern Military camouflage, Camo green and grey or Tan.

Paint it as a Ground Attack/Bomber.

I'm Also Working on a Heavily modified Firespray.

It will have many hull mods, different engines, new weapons and missile pods.

and all new wing configuration.

I cut out some Rough wing shapes in thin card to see how they would look, I do this with a lot of models before cutting them in Plastic.

These are just mock ups at the moment, but look close to how the wing configuration will be.......

And A few last minute Re-paints of the unloved E-Wing.......I must be one of the few that actually likes the way it looks !

And a generic paint scheme on the Kihraxz Fighter.....

Ill post more soon as I carry on building the Firespray and finish Painting the Y-Wing Bomber.
