I think the reds are still capped at 7 dice though. Heck, the Ghost can't even get to the 7 that is currently the max (APT/Prockets + Opportunist + Jan).

Talonbane can also hit 9 defense with this.

Talonbane is base 2, so he ends with 8 still. It appears to be a good upgrade for him, still. An opening turn with him decloaking forwards and kturning or bank/turn lightning reflexes could be a killer play when bearing down a would-be jouster

Did some rolls on the app the average evades on eight dice was two.

Sample size is small but not shocking, I didn't roll zero evades but I got alot of singles and never more than five.
