Aparrently Armadillos can have Reflect (Improved)

A man in Texas was injured early Thursday after he opened fire on an armadillo and the bullet ricocheted off the animal and struck him in the face, officials said.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. local time near the small town of Marietta in eastern Texas, near the state’s border with Arkansas, local station KLTV reported.

Cass County Sheriff Larry Rowe told Reuters the unnamed man opened fire on the animal after spotting it in his yard.

“His wife was in the house. He went outside and took his .38 revolver and shot three times at the armadillo,” Rowe told Reuters.

However, one of the three bullets deflected off the armadillo’s hard shell and struck the man in the jaw, Rowe said.

Quick! Get that codified into gear and equipment.

Call it the Zillo Beast Gauntlet.

Why in the world would anyone want to shoot an Armadillo? OK, granted this was in Texas, but still...

I guess it's good to have perspective. I read that in the local paper, cause we're in the same region, and I didn't think much of it besides the typical "what an idiot"... didn't really cross my mind to add game stats to the Armadillo. I guess I felt a little sorry for the fella because I learned my lesson with my bb gun at age 8 or 9 when I shot an old ceramic pot out in the woods and it zinged me in the chin, and again a year later when I shot a shovel with a pellet and it hit my shin. Now, I just shoot stuff with a 35mm lens... it lasts longer and you don't have to clean it...

Supreme Armadillo Reflect : When using Reflect on a hit that generated DESPAIR, inflict Leprosy on one target within medium range.

Now in Texas, we do grow a breed of LARGE Armadillos with reflective armor and horns...

This would certainly reflect a .38 shot and most likely blaster bolts as well. I wonder what planet is most like Texas in the Galaxy Far Far Away.... Hmmm....

I think it was established that Corellia is basically Texas. Corellians like big speeders. They're very proud of their world, heritage, and history. And they also held the right to secede from the Senate at any time.

Not too many wide open spaces on Corellia, but I'll take it under advisement... I guess I associated Corellia with going fast and hard, more corvette less pickup truck. I'm looking for the wide plains and space pickups! heh heh

That said, I live in the tallest trees in Texas, but I have lived in the Panhandle and a stint in Austin. Still drive a truck, probably always will... not the fastest thing around, but it has lots of utility.

Apparently they're pests who destroy people's plants. Not that that's justification , IMO, but it is more than likely the reason .

Nah, the reason was probably either 1) Beer 2) I had a gun and needed to shoot something or 3) Out of Beer... there is an outside possibility there was a woman involved saying something about the plants or the yard or whatever, but that was just an excuse to go get 1) Beer and 2) Gun.

Normally I would also say the following words were uttered "Hey... watch this!" but who really expects reflective armor on an armadillo? That's reserved for something you know is going to hurt you...

Let's not overthink this: shell is probably good for an upgraded difficulty, and Despair was rolled.
