Is rebels worth watching?

If this show was directed at little kids only it would be on the regular Disney channel, not DisneyXD. I wouldnt let my kids watch that channel unless they were 12+. With beheadings and a high death count with continuous violoence, this is no children's cartoon. Teenagers and adults will like it... if they ACTUALLY watch it. I love it.

It's as violent as the movies are. Unlike Clone Wars, which really ramped up the violence.

And I think that Star Wars is more "boy oriented" is why it is on DXD instead of Disney Channel.

I love the show and am hoping FFG makes minis for it for IA and X-wing :D

They're making the Ghost and the Inquisitors Tie for Wave 8.

One thing Disney seems to do, and is the right thing to do... is allowing people to tell the stories they want and not trying to force some sort of corporate vision on them.

This is really it, imo. I think in the pursuit of ROI and avoiding risk, they think restrictions are best and it blinds them to the fact that if your creators love the IP, they won't do anything overly risky because they want the stuff they're making to be great.

Some of the rumbelings I've heard about what Disney/Marvel forced into the latest Avengers movie make me nervous for the future of Marvel Movies and- by extension- Star Wars. The rumor is that Disney (maybe Marvel, to the extent that those separate) demanded the addition of a specific scenes to set up the next movies. They apparently threatened to cut the emotional and thematic heart from the movie as blackmail.

Gods, I hope that was someone who has no say in the future of Star Wars. And I hope this doesn't happen in future Marvel movies.

From what I've heard, they have done that with every movie since iron man 2 (and it really showed in IM2, but not since). A number of both comic book and film geeks that I know are amazed the franchise is at all good.

That is all Feige, not Disney. The "Marvel brand" is about the constant set up. Marvel has been a moneymaker, so Disney has less reason to interfere.

And even then, just look who is in charge of LFL. If anyone has the clout to stand up to her bosses, it's Kennedy.
