But now with Wave 8 my wallet rejoices! I have no interest whatsoever in this Rebels stuff. I'll probably buy the bounty hunter ships. Now, they haven't revealed the upgrades yet, and I'm sure there's something I'll want. But as a casual player I don't really NEED them, and it looks like there's some awesome stuff (like tractor beams) in the scum ships.

I dont share the mentality, but I definitely feel like I'll safely be able to buy less in this wave.

After buying 3 scyke and 2 vipers which I rarely use I'll buy just one of each and go from there

I am going to run Chopper on everything I possibly can. He is up there with HK47 on the list of best droids. The ship will be interesting, as it's probably stupid-expensive when docked, can't take Determination (you will eat every crit) and has no evade dice.

The Advanced Prototype looks like a lot of fun, at least for the Inquisitor.

As for the smaller Scum ship, why wouldn't I want a Cloaking Device for my Virago? Or Tractor Beams for my B-Wings, Defenders and Aggressors?

I kinda had this same mentality, so I see your point.

But I have two little boys (5 and 7 and the moment) and therefore I kind of grow up again, but this time with rebels and some old, weird stuff from a long forgotten past. ("Daddy, who is Han Solo?" Nope, they haven't watched the original trilogy yet, call me old-fashioned, but I don't think it's suitable for kids that young. And this way I can tell stories from a long time ago myself, hope they'll have a blast when finally watching the movies and recognizing all the stuff they already heard about).

And what can I say: Their enthusiasm is so catching, I've fallen in love with the ghost and its crew, even though I actively tried not to, but watching Rebels with them is... Just great!

So of course I'll buy all of wave 8. My boys won't forgive me not to do so.

*sigh* It's still a TIE. It's a sh*tty TIE, but a TIE nontheless. I'll have to get 2...

I've been trying to collect all but Wave 7 does nothing for me. I do like the Gozanti-class Cruiser though...

I've actually been thinking of getting the Raider and stopping there. Of course that means no more game time at the LGS since power creep ship balance may make my game play difficult.

I'll wait and see Other than the Raider and Gozanti nothing has impressed me. I like the card, XX-23 S-Thread Tracers, that's something that could work very well with ordnance.

Wave 8.... I know it's too early to tell but it hasn't grabbed me like wave 7 did.

I think the ghost looks great . Reminds me of shuttle from Alien. But better stats than a Decimator for less points....Hopefully its dial justifies that.

Eh...you haven't seen 'Return of the Jedi', yet? Or...I'm confused, when did you discover Star Wars?

Because, seriously, the 'Rebels' TV series is EVERY. SINGLE. CAMPAIGN. that we played in the West End Games RPG back in the 80s. I mean, the Ghost crew are pretty much verbatim copies of the characters we played. From the ISB agents to the Inquisitors, it's...I mean, this series just is the old WEG RPGs.

I am actually excited for the ghost. The rules mean nothing to me. I just love rebels, when I first started playing this game the YT-2400 and Dash was really what caught my eyes, and then Boba fett. Dengar and IG-88 I care not for.

But ohh the Ghost and crew, I just love them. Will I get something from this wave? Not sure. I have seen this relase as a logic next step, as well as whatever new ships show up in Episode 7. So actually I have been waiting for the ghost, but nothing else, If the TIE seems cool I might grab it aswell

Some of my earliest memories are of watching the original trilogy, so, as someone who grew up on Han shooting first, and who was truly shocked to learn at age 4--when Empire came out-- that Vader was Luke's father, I am afraid that I must respectfully disagree about the maturity required for the original trilogy. My wife, however, won't let our kids watch Episodes 2 and 3, particularly 3 due to its egregiously gratuitous violence when Anakin gets wasted by Obi-Wan.

I did kind of like the Ewoks when I saw them as a 6-year-old, but... that was when Lucas started down the path to the Dark Side that led inevitably to Darth Jar-Jar. Therefore, I wish that he had gone with Wookies for those scenes.

Far... far... far more interested in Wave 8 than Wave 7.
