36, 37, 38. LET THE SPECULATING BEGIN!!!

How about...an epic size scum and villany ship, a scum aces pack, and a new basic box game for the new movie.

I'm thinking the three unannounced product numbers might well have something to dowith Episode VII myself - the new X-Wing, First Order TIE and the turreted TIE, maybe? Or maybr the X-Wing, First Order TIE and an Episode VII starter set?

Someone else had the cool idea of an Ep7 X-Wing aces and First Order TIE aces.

But, I'm sure a new starter would work better.

My addition to the total speculation, and i really don't know if Rey is relation of Han/Leia.....3 large box sets (equivalent to aces sets)

swx 36 new Millenium Falcon from the movie. New Pilot Rey (Han/leia grandaughter? would have said daughter but that would be stretching it *S*) Guessing this because there is "info" going round that it is different.

swx 37 X wing including new pilots from the movie. (with X wing fix)

swx 38 no idea, if we hadn't been getting two new TIE's with the Carrier that would have been the guess. So Some form of Imperial ship from the movie.

Going with what you said. Most likely Ep. 7 ships. New x-wing and TIE. Then maybe that shuttle thing that was being escorted to the SD in that brief scene.

I am still holding out hope for Scum Aces.

Is the current core set one product code or does each ship have its own?

Is the current core set one product code or does each ship have its own?

The core set should be one product code, and the stand-alone blisters of the core set ships will each have their own codes. So if there's three unknown product codes, a good guess would be new core set, new X-Wing, new TIE.

As per the product page linked at the top of the OP ( ;) )

X-Wing Core Set - SWX01

X-Wing Expansion - SWX02

TIE Fighter Expansion - SWX03

So, we have three rogue as yet unaccounted for X-Wing products in the pipeline, people. Products that (going by sequential order, at least) may well have been in development before Wave 8.

Won't it be a bit disappointing if scum gets nothing from the Ep 7 core?

  • Version 2 Core Set with new attack and turret mechanics
  • New damage deck
  • Upgrade card deck

Just kidding. Ain't gonna happen.

I'm going with an episode 7 most wanted style pack, with a T-70 and 2 bog standard first order ties, then a first order spec for TIE, and kylo den's shuttle

My vote is new core set with Episode 7 Xwing and 2 of the new Black and White Ties. Then a Blister of each. Just like Wave 1. This will be "Wave 1" of Xwing 2.0

Episode 7 stuff is all but on the boat; they're just not allowed to talk about it yet. It could well release before Wave 8. I foresee a starter box, with individual T-70s and turret-TIEs as individual blisters for the rest of us.

The clever bit: This isn't a 2.0 or anything, it's just an alternate starter box. And the T-70 fighter is similar-but-different to an X-wing, maybe a little zoomier (The teasers to date seem to be hinting that we'll expect to see JJ Abrams' signature zoomy swoopy SFX on display, so...), and uses a compatable title to do something cool.

So the X-wing fix shows up before Wave 8... they just couldn't talk about it. :)

Disney gets their tie-in, FFG gets to print money (I wonder if the Raider holdup ends up being "We had to shunt the production line to Episode VII for six months" in the end?), and the meta gets their X-wings back. Everybody wins.

Sounds a little too neat and tidy, Reiver!

But that does sound perfect.

SWX36 - X-Wing: The Force Awakens Base Game

SWX37 - X-Wing: Resistance T-70 X-Wing

SWX38 - X-Wing: First Order TIE Fighter

Fits perfectly into those slots BUT I have no idea how ships 30 years later in canon fit into the existing game without power creep (not saying it isn't already here to some degree).
