Isn't this the identity of the Imps? They are not reinventing new ships or scrambling for what they can get they are mass producing ships to fill little niches in their arsenal. Variation is not their strong suit. Conformity is. I like Imps for that reason. And I like the new TIE, just slightly different than the other TIEs.
Are Imperials getting more meh?
You know what I have seen a few hundred repainted Impies all red and with stripes and patterns and such... and it all looks bad to me.
The idea of hot roding up Imperials just does not look right. I like my gray-blue-black-metallic ships.

Sabine's TIE Fighter isn't Imperial so...what he said still applies.

This is true and why I focused on the upgrade portion. The imperials could easily have a upgrade slot on some ships that conformity, maybe by requiring all ships of the in a list to add the same upgrade in that "imperial slot"
The more ships that come out the more the original fires pray feels out of place and should have always been scum and not imperial. Like how come boba fett is the only original bounty hunter that flys for the imperials
Because Wave 2?
Because Wave 2?
This. At that point FFG didn't even know they'd be adding a 3rd faction. And there's no way you're going to make a Star Wars game WITHOUT Boba Fett.
But yeah, the Firespray should not be an Imperial ship. But it's too late to fix it now.

I disagree. Boba Fett was working for Darth Vader (we now know) BEFORE Empire Strikes Back. He could be seen as an agent of the Empire AND as a S&V pilot.
I think this ship has potential. It could be an Awing like dial or even better. The one pilot we've seen is very good. It may seem like an imperial awing but is that a bad thing? Do we really need the imperials to get an Xwing equivalent or another large base ship?
I think the imperial MO was established from the get go; lots of cheap fodder, supplemented by crazy limited run ships the represent the Imperial response to the rebels, but we're so expensive they never made it to wide spread use.
I think the advanced prototype will find its niche, and as a bonus fits well with the existing tie aesthetic but being unique ship at the same time.

So?
He's still a hired mercenary. Does that mean if the Rebellion hired him for a job he'd also be a Rebel agent?
I found this wave utterly meh in terms of ships for all factions, but it has some interesting looking upgrades (and the Imperial Assault announcements more than made up for it).
That TIE Advanced prototype though, I don't like it. It looks like such a departure from the standard TIE aesthetic (curved wings, and why don't they have the panels on the outside? They've lost more than half their surface area, weird), it just doesn't ring true for me, I'd have much rather they introduced a non-TIE small ship instead, I believe someone mentioned one once or twice on this forum. Still, if people love the cartoon then I'm glad they're getting ships from it. After all, I'm getting HKs, so I can't complain!
Edited by mazz0That's kinda how Han Solo started, eh? But then he eventually got turned, and became hardcore rebel loyalist.
Boba Fett may have been a step more professional towards the relationship, but he was still Vader's man for a long time.
And that's why he's for sale in two factions, while Han Solo only works for the rebels. ![]()

I don't know, given the fact Han was getting ready to dip out before the battle of Hoth, I don't know how 'hard core' he was; more like he was simply he hitched his wagon to the rebel horse because it was the only horse around.

Wasn't he planning on paying Jabba back then returning? It's a shame they didn't have bank transfers, could have made things a lot easier.

Hey! I'm morally grounded! My morals haven't flown in years!

That's the downside to being on the run from the galactic government, while owing money to a crimelord. You can't use banks, as every transaction is potentially monitored.
The Hutts and the Rebellion were both operating in what we call a low-trust environment. This adds a lot of friction to every business transactions, and makes face to face deals necessary.
I'd bet the Rebellion had a terrible time getting supplies, for the simple fact that they couldn't move money easily. A good accountant would be both necessary and nearly impossible.
The logistics of crime are difficult.

Yeah, I always had a problem with that. Han GOT paid before the end of ANH. I don't understand why he still owed Jabba money by RotJ.

The new comics don't seem to address the point. Hm...

A Hutt will never let someone fully pay off thier debts. It's how they keep control.

They could have used BitCoin!
I don't see how being a Bounty Hunter automatically makes you allied with the 'general outlaw' faction. Bounty Hunting has been a legitimate, albeit murky, profession for a very long time.
It's the same with spies or covert agents. Just because they act outside the law doesn't make them at odds with the government that enforces the law.
It could very well be that Boba Fett was a government agent during the reign of the Galactic Empire, and after it's fall decided to become a free agent.

Granted. But you'd think you'd let him pay off enough that you wouldn't need to have bounty hunters chasing them anymore.
