Cost Analysis of Wave 8

By Deadwolf, in X-Wing

I've done a cost analysis on the new ships:

Ghost: 40 pts for PS 7, 4/0/10/6 is crazy efficient, same agi and HP as Decimator, except 2 shields instead of hull and +1 attack but loss of turret - all for 5 points less. However, it does likely have a shuttle like dial. The attack shuttle is likely somewhere around 18+/- for the PS3. So, together with a turret + crew, you are probably looking at 65-75 points for the 2 ships. But, this is really good since you are getting 4 atk from front or back and a turret attack in the end phase. Also your "2nd ship" is essentially immune until it deploys. This will be a very strong ship, but it does have blind spots and c3p0 isn't that good here, so I don't see it as broken atm. It's hard to see ghost without the attack shuttle (assuming a bad dial), tho if priced well, we could see solo attack shuttles as a cheaper xwing alternative.

Inquistor's Tie: I'm thinking 17 for the PS2. Basically, an imperial Awing. The title is very good however, and allows both offense and defense with 1 action - a must buy. But the 2 atk limits it, the same as the awing. I can't see the generic seeing much use, just as the awing isn't wide spread, but the Inquisitor is really good.

Mist Hunter: This is basically the scum Bwing, and looks to cost the same (except +1 pt for +1 PS). The evade is strong here, so I expect this to be a solid ship.

Punishing One: This ship is really odd. 33 for PS9 and 2(t)/2/5/4 for 33, is actually really efficient (5 pts less than 2400 and only 1 HP less) tho spending 12 for +1 attack is not. After equipping the title, you are 1 pt less than the 1300, -4 hp with the additional agi - not a great deal. The title does work with Dengar, but like Bossk, is an offensive powerhouse but is on the squishy side due to a lack of defensive crew (which i dont see changing). So, along with not knowing it's odd dial, I don't know really know where this ship stands.

But overall I think this will be a great addition to the game.
