You'll note that the phrase ordnance fix was placed in inverted commas - I trust you understand what that means.
However considering that wave 7 does include an ordnance fix of sorts, and the game designers were quoted as saying in reference to wave 7 that “Bombers need a reason to shoot missiles and bombs.” - describing wave 7 was the "ordnance fix" wave would be a fairly accurate description.
Oh yeah, I understand - Wave 7 was ONLY ever referred to (optimistically) as an "ordnance fix" by posters on this forum. Never officially, though, in any capacity.
"Wave 7 does include an ordnance fix of sorts" - yeah, sure - Extra Munitions is a "fix of sorts" for any ship that has at least one Torpedo slot to spare in addition to either a missile slot, a bomb slot or another torpedo slot. So while it won't work on the majority of ships that can take ordnance, it's still "a fix of sorts". But Wave 3 and Wave 4 included an ordnance "fix of sorts" as well - fixes which worked with a much wider variety of ships than Extra Munitions. So will Wave 8 as well, for that matter. Does this make Wave 4 and Wave 8 " ordnance fix waves" as well, or is it fair to say that it's an ongoing process, and the developers will continue to add new missile/torpedo/bomb cards, along with other upgrades and pilot skills which assist in their use and implement new ideas to improve the functionality of these weapons for old ships and new?
And if so, is it not fair to say that both the Assault Gunboat and Missile Boat provide opportunities for continuing to modify and improve the role of ordance weaponry in the game further down the line as well?
