A couple of questions

By thorin_81, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

1) Let's say I have Bran stark (core set) in play from the setup (Bran, Sansa and Lord Eddard chamber for example). I know I can use him immediately to reveal a plot card. But what if I use him his ability to reveal Siege of Riverrun (a Military Battle) and then I reveal another plot (it doesn't matter which plot) and I want to play a To Be A Wolf during the first round?

Can I do that? I would say yes, because I think that Bran triggered ability sends the first plot into the USED PLOT pile and then the 2nd goes to the REVEALE PLOT pile.

Am I right

2) The Viper's Rage: is this card really so strong??? I'm not english or American but the card text seems pretty clear to me... It seems that if an attacking opponent wins a challenge by 4 or more total strenght then I can cancel ALL the icons of ALL opponent's character (so, if my opponent is the first player I can win 3 unopposed challenges!!!).

Is this right?

Hi!

1) Yes, you can. The good thing about Bran is that "fast cycling" of plots.

2) Another "tricky" Martell Card. Noone is going to attack you with 4 or more STR (if you've to declare your Challenges yet), with the risk of losing that challenge.

Martell are a nice faction for this.

The fact is that sometimes, those Tricky effect aren't enough to give serious troubles, but the important thing is the psychological factor of having this and other treats like this on the table, I guess.

Bye

A couple of small corrections here:

The Viper's Rage only takes one of each icon away from the characters. That's important because the character can get the icon back if it has enough "gains an icon" effects on it. For example, if I have the new "The Broken Spear" on a character that already has a military icon, The Viper's Rage only "cancels out" one of the military icons and my character would still be able to attack and defend in military challenges.

Also, The Viper's Rage only affects the opponent that won the challenge. In a Melee game, it would not affect any characters controlled by opponents who were not attacking you in the challenge you lost by 4.

It is a very powerful event, but perhaps not as "all-powerful" as you originally thought.

thank you all! now it's clear.
