Is the inquisitor really dead?

By FlyingAnchors, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Sure he fell into a star destroyer reactor of a ship that eventually blows up... but... darth maul got sliced in half, and Vader fell into a volcano...

So anything's possible.

The reason I would argue why he isn't dead is because Lego, habro, and now FFG have continued to release new content based around his character, and usually after a character dies in a show they cease creating new content for that character.

And plus, having him return as a disgraced inquisitor and regain his honor by eliminating some of the other inquisitors to regain favor with Vader so he can return to his hunt for the rebels would make a cool sub plot imo.

Of course this is all speculation on my part. Your thoughts?

My first thought is spoiler warning,my second is dead characters have turned up before so...

I feel like in one of the after show interviews they confirmed he was dead.

But that's not to say he's the only inquisitor. We still don't know the origin of such characters.

And don't forget his last words:

There are some things far more frightening than death.

Thanks for the spoilers in the title!

The way he died left even less doubt than Maul's death. I don't really think you can complain about spoilers 5 months after an air date. : /

People moan about spoilers five years after.

He's dead. Filoni has confirmed.

It is an easily avoidable spoiler that was not needed in the title. There are still a lot of countries where it has yet to air and this is an international community.

Yeah Filoni confirmed that he's dead dead.

He would rather die than face up to Vader.

Maul was a Sith Lord. His survival was shear badassery. Vader was a Sith Lord. He survived Mustafar on shear hatred.

The Inquisitor? He didn't even have a _name_. He was just a job title. He fell into the reactor of a Star Destroyer that was in the middle of exploding. He was too scared to live, and didn't have enough hate to sustain himself. He was a mook.

The fact that the crew of the Ghost was afraid of him tells you about how much they have to learn.

uh, Force Ghost. Duh. Why is it that only "good" guys get to be ghosts? The Force doesn't take sides, it simply has them

I did love his explanation of how he would've died if it had been on Clone Wars. Showing he understands some of the issues I had with it towards the end.

What was that about not making figures after the character died?

A better question would be what is going to happen to Sabine and Ezra. Losing both arms is going to make wielding a lightsaber kinda difficult. And Sabine turning to the Sith? I didn't think mandalorians really took sides when it came to the force. Either way, now that the Ghost is destroyed I'm pretty sure they are going to first have to find a new ship. And a new captain for that matter.

and usually after a character dies in a show they cease creating new content for that character.

Half if not more of the pilots in FFG's games are dead...

I've seen it for nearly 50 years after.

I remember someone being shocked that they spoiled Gandalf being alive in the trailers for the Two Towers movie. I also remember people getting upset with me because I mentioned that Asland dies and comes back in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe movie.

The explanation for that is basically the point of the Prequel trilogies, and it's made explicit in the final Yoda arc of Clone Wars.

I knew someone who actually got upset when he was told that the Titanic sank at the end of the movie.

Or the story about someone surprised/upset they killed Abraham Lincoln at the end of the movie.

My mate dave got really angry when another friend let slip the pilot lives in snakes on a plane and to this day refuses to watch it.

Barriss Offee will be the new Inquisitor... Bank it...

I'm going with Valen(tine?). See the ps 6 prototype pilot.

I've seen pics somewhere of the 2 new inquisitors, a man and a woman.

Valen Rudor, potentially the first named pilot without an ability.

also re title: one should hope

Ah that makes more sense.

HEY! Don't freaking put spoilers in your title. Ass.
