Where are the official "Day X" videos from Fantasy Flight?

By VaultDweller, in X-Wing

Every year they put out a video recapping each day at GenCon but I haven't found those this year. Anyone?

This GenCon feels different from past events. There are no daily videos, I read the X-Wing Tourney had a major issue, the Wave 8 ships aren't painted, and they had poor quality pics, and apologize, for the In-Flight Report. It's the first time they seem to not be ready for the show. Does it seem that way at the show or is it just because I'm trying to get information remotely?

I'm not at gencon but it is odd they didn't have the models for the biggest show of the year painted. (US Show)

That is actually a bit worrisome..... :(

They are pre-approved prototypes so probably not allowed to be clouded yet. Producing licensed models requires loads of approval steps. I wouldn't worry at all.

There's no worries here just an observation since I'm interested in the gaming industry side of things along with the great games!

Just found the In-Flight video, thanks Team Covenant, so I can enjoy that next.

Also, they didn't do as good a job as last year with having employees keeping the line into the booth organized right when the dealer hall doors opened Thursday morning. I got lost trying to find the end of the line and had to give up because there was no one with an FFG LINE sign on a pole in sight beyond the first couple intersections. I'm sure they're trying to do their best, but GenCon just seemed a little overwhelming for the company this year, surprisingly.

The In-Flight report video answered a lot of the questions I had. They are taking a cautious approach with Star Wars because the reset of the canon was / is still in flux so they needed to coordinate with LFL to decide where the products go next.

I was critical that they didn't mention Armada in the report but that was only over their live tweeting. In the report they showed Wave 2 and he talked about his desire to have a large Star Destroyer on the table and that we're all close to having that. No mention at all of future products, not because it's not successful, but I think due to the canon reset and the embargo on the Force Awakens announcements. For example, a lot of people know what an Interdictor-Class ship is from past games, etc. But does an Interdictor exist in the new canon? LFL takes this stuff that seriously so I think these types of questions get batted around between FFG and LFL.

Overall it was another impressive In-Flight report, Wave 8 looks great, other non-SW games received great receptions (the Warhammer Adventure Card Game got an interesting reaction), and the company is stronger than ever. Like they said, if you want to wait in line on Midnight for Star Wars Toy Day, they'll have something cool for us.

See you in line!

As to the seemingly unfinished aspect of Wave 8, how much of that is due to the fact there is a secret, as yet unrevealed, Wave 7.5 that they have also been working on based on Episode VII, which is already on the boat? We are seeing what it looks like when they reveal not the next wave's product, but the two-waves-from-now product.

the overall GENCON this year is so very underwhelming in organization....maybe just indy...

Interdictors are canon. They are mentioned in Tarkin a few times and I'm pretty sure in Heir to the Jedi too.
