I interested in what Valen Rudor's pilot ability could be...I mean if there even is one haha! (The space for the ability looks so blank!)

Could he be the first unique named pilot without an ability?

Either that or it must be a super-short amount of text, or too early in development that his ability wasn't fully decided on when the preview image went up.

The latter is definitely the most likely, but given how minor the character is I could vaguely see him not having an ability.

You'd likely expect flavour text, but that had always been reserved for the generic non-unique pilots previously.

If it is blank, I'd expect/hope he'd have an EPT, else you'd only be paying for the PS increase over the PS4 generic. Seems like a good way for him to never see play if that's the case .

Though given FFG's track record lately, PS6 pilots don't get EPTs (though maybe 4LOM), so yeah I'm leaning towards an undeveloped ability at time of posting or super-short text'd ability.

So I'm PRETTY sure no one has caught this yet, but the new rule card with the text "Dual" in the mist hunter expansion? I'm leaning pretty heavily towards it explaining the card there is 2 of in the pack, which has some italic text at the beginning, that seems to begin with a D.

THERE we go. I was wondering why the limit text was so short, but that was a bit before we realised the reference card was new.

I still think it's a double-sided card. If it was simply double-icons, even if it was 2 different icons, it wouldn't really need a reference.

at a guess, the Dual Upgrades reference card is just there to tell us why "Misthunter" requiring a cannon upgrade on a ship with no cannons is legal

I'm in line with this, because it sure looks like the dual upgrade reference card has the text "they do not h.."

And this likely goes hand in hand with the "Adapt.." card as mentioned, but my guess is that the Adapter lets you "adapt it" to take something else in the required slot pair. For example, Mist Hunter title requires a Tractor Beam, but with an Adapter, you could use a Heavy Laser Cannon in that slot instead. Or (possibly more likely) you can use the adaptor in place of the required dual upgrade (adaptor instead of Tractor Beam in this case).

The only thing that troubles me is the presence of 2 adaptor cards and only 1 Mist Hunter title, so the requirement to take an upgrade would also have to appear elsewhere.

It gets rid of a target lock on the ship, and it combos pretty well with Experimental Interface that way as well. Put it on a tie with a high PS, do your action, then Exp Handling BR to get rid of a TL a ship may have been dumb enough to put on you. I mean, it's not GREAT, but it's better then a generic barrel roll (though probably not worth the points).

And the ship art is on the wrong cards. He got it all mixed up. Can't believe he thought that art on the movement reference card would be there instead of on the Punishing One title. Pssh.
