[WAVE 8] What We Know (and how we know it)

By Tipperary, in X-Wing

It can't use 3PO, right? 0 agility.

Well, it could with range 3 or obstructed shots. Or with a stealth device, while it lasted. But those are situational enough that probably no one would take him.

On the other hand, you could combine threepio with lando on it and get a guaranteed evade token every round.

or....OR

you could take its natural evade action :P

(r2d2 and chewie are the only defensive rebel crew that do much of anything with ghost)

PS 6 TAP doesn't appear to have any text for his pilot ability. Wonder if that's a mistake or intentional.

I'd go for a unique pilot with no ability, but two EPTs instead.

could also just have a single icon for a pilot ability, just smack dab in the middle of the text box

that icon would be barrel-roll :)

Lando+Jan+EI.

Evade, EI to use Lando, turn a focus into an Evade with Jan. Guaranteed evade, 5/8 chance for a second, 3/8 chance for a third.

only 8 points and built on a foundation about as reliable as boat made out of toilet paper (green dice) :P

just roll little r2-d2. He'll get you your regen, and then natural evade out for 2 damage "cancel" which is the approximate value of fat han (c3po and evade; not heaver han) and soonts/aggressors (evade and thrusters)

I don't know if it was said before, but on the Gozanti, there's 3 EPTs well-known : Expert Handling, Expose and Markmanship.

They were the 3 first cards on the top left.

It also looks like Rear Admiral Chrianeau is getting his own crew card. It looks to be the first card on the right side, the reason I say this is because the picture on the card is the same picture you see when you look him up on wookiepedia

The art for that upgrade is the same art used for Admiral Chiraneau (got promoted, eh?) in Armada, where he lets you move your squadrons out of engagement

Yep, and given the long line of italic text he appears to be Imperial Only. Huge Ship Only.

That's strange, I would have thought he'd be like Han, Lando, Chewie, Dash, Etc, pilots who double as crew members. His ability is probably OP on a large ship or the obvious reason is that it's epic specific

we have agent whatshissocks filling in that roll

besides, we'd never see Cherianeau (Crew) played because we can't put him on RAC, the PWT <_<

Is that a boba fett crew(sure looks like his gun in the picture before its cut off) card behind the dengar crew card in the jumpmaster preview?

Yes.

tip: readable/extrapolated card text is listed below each spread, it's usually worth it to check that just in case the card's been figured out from text/art.

e: I'd also like to thank FFG for putting him in Dengar's "care", so to speak. Great nod to BHW.

Oh come on really....that pos little attack shuttle has 3 attack AND a turret slot....

How can that little thing be as powerful as an X-wing or a squint

Madness!! Not Sparta

I agree. The attack is probably a bit too much. But I don't think it has a turret slot. Didn't in the show. Shouldn't here. Ghost had one sure. And since it will probably be a $60 pack they probably have two dorsal turret cards in there for ease of collection.

that turret looks good for about half a red die at most :P

Yeah, but it is there. and it blows up a TIE in that clip.

Ugh... Not a fan. Just on a complexity level that's too much stuff for a plot device ship. Not that I dislike the thing in general, just this games interpretation of its capabilities. Maybe taken in all together it will be more reasonable. But honestly I'd rather have seen it have a two die primary with rear arc if it was that important to have it represented.

Are we absolutely sure the card has the upgrade slot? To beat a dead horse? And on that note, many are mentioning the phantom redocking in game but I haven't seen anything to suggest that. Or even hint at it. RAW and as currently revealed I think ship's can only start games docked if ever. Notably after they keyworded deploy in bold font, I saw a card somewhere that didn't have that formatting. Weird.

So I'm PRETTY sure no one has caught this yet, but the new rule card with the text "Dual" in the mist hunter expansion? I'm leaning pretty heavily towards it explaining the card there is 2 of in the pack, which has some italic text at the beginning, that seems to begin with a D.

...Much like the word Dual.

:o

THERE we go. I was wondering why the limit text was so short, but that was a bit before we realised the reference card was new.

I still think it's a double-sided card. If it was simply double-icons, even if it was 2 different icons, it wouldn't really need a reference.
