[WAVE 8] What We Know (and how we know it)

What we recon those 3 tokens in to top right are?

objective markers more than likely

Exactly that. I thought I actually had some, but the ones on the Transport are square.

Turret in Ghost looks like Dome Turret. It certainly fits.

Pretty sure that will be "Dorsal Turret".

There's no dorsal in space! But yea you're right.

There certainly is, because it's relative to the ship and the decks have orientation because of the artifical gravity.

Just what I was going to say.

Did anyone notice the dial doesn't match the pilot card? (dials says 'Transport') I'm sure they'll fix that....

The center back upgrade card. I know the second word really starts with "Ba...", but with that picture all I can think when I see it is "Electric Boogaloo".

Electronic Barrier would be my best guess for the "Elec... Ba..." card. Looks to line up spacing-wise at least.

Could be Electro Back-scratcher or Electro Bar & Grill?

Bacon. Electric Bacon.

The tricky part is whether it's EPT or Crew, since that'll change naming theme quite a bit.

4th Rule card along from the left in the Mist Hunter pic appears to be Dual Upgrade?

Already noted in the Reference section for the expansion.

Mmmm. Bacon.

Dual upgrade would be like palpatine, wouldn't it? Can't imagine why that would be needed here but...

The unknown rules card second from the right is for ion tokens, which is weird because it doesn't seem to come with ion tokens. But I can clearly read

This card ....

an ion token...

Which exactly matches the card for ion tokens.

I don't see any C's in the ps4 for the ghost expansion. I see chopper as a crew but I don't think he is a pilot.

The Raider /does/ have a reference card with it, but I'm not sure what that is. I just doublechecked the Palpatine reveal article, and it doesn't mention anything regarding the "dual upgrade" concept.

My guess is something like a double-sided card that has a useful effect for cheap, but flips to a detriment after you use the main effect.

It starts with the unique dot and then a double-quote, since "Chopper" is a nickname and not the actual droid number.

If so, I look forward to using the detriment as a benefit.

Hell, even getting Ionized ain't so bad when you're the one in control of it. Sometimes you want a 1 forward, and don't have it on your dial.

"dual upgrade," at a guess, is probably there to explain why the misthunter title requiring a cannon upgrade on a ship without a cannon slot is still legal

definitely looks like EPt, crew, sensors, illicit to me

unless there's an upgrade that takes 2 different slots (because there's no double upgrade slot ala Palpy going in a shuttle or deci), which would be wild because what possible combination could you get without being either too limiting or not enough? illicit + crew (hunter, hwk, spray, yv-666) ? illicit + systems (hunter, virago, aggressor)?

crew + systems is just the hunter, phantom, and shuttle

going by the cards in the background, though, a dual upgrade of simultaneous type is going to have to be either crew (the named cards) and/or system (adapt-somethings, electric-somethings)

... oh, we weren't sure of the upgrade bar?

Yeah, EPT, Crew, Sensors, Illicit - it's a B-wing E/2 without the cannon, and a few dirty tricks besides.

Given it'll be probably be sitting at 24 points, less any surcharge for the top pilot ability (Which seems to be marginal, surely), we're looking at the ship being a point 'overcosted' to a naked B-wing... or the same price as a B-wing w/E-2. And unlike an E-2, it still has the upgrade slot available.

This could be fun.

Don't think this has been brought up yet. "Chopper" looks like he comes as a crew card in the Ghost combo pack. (I called a combo pack! Woot! Not the one I expected, but whatever.) I'm wondering if and when we'll see a Astromech and/or a salvaged Astromech version. Hopefully this season gives us his origin story. Not a scum fan but I think it would be really cool if Chop had a seedier past:)

Can't believe what an amazing job FFG has done on the Mist Hunter. It looks awesome! Certainly much better than the art and 3D models on Google Images.

Really looking forward to this release... well, the Scum portion of it, anyway.

I see something interesting in the Ghost spread. Top row of upgrades, furthest to the right. Rein- Defl-

Reinforce Deflectors? Reinforce Deflector Shields? Large base modification? Probably unlikely, but a buddy suggested maybe it gives the reinforce action, but that would be ridiculous on this ship, especially since it can ALSO take R2D2 and C3PO. Maybe something like once per round, when defending, you receive a shield token. Remove it after the attack resolves. That's also probably way off. In-universe technology exists that can reinforce shields on one portion of a craft. Perhaps its something like that. Improves shielding or gives an evade on an attack from inside your arc?

I don't know I'm just shooting at the moon. What would you guess?

It can't use 3PO, right? 0 agility.

I think the reinforce action is a pretty good idea as long as it's restricted to large ships with sensor slots. If it only worked while shields were up it could even be cheap.
