Gozanti Question......

By Xander Krane, in X-Wing

Hope this will get posted.

I'm new to the forum and waiting for moderators.

Been about 24 hours, or more, since I posted a topic and replied to other topics. For the record I posted this 22:35 on Friday 31st July.

My question is as follows, and I should explain I don't know the EU and have tried to research this myself without success:

Can a Gozanti carry Tie Bombers and Defenders?

Might sound like a daft question. My own logic says "well duh! Of course it can". But I don't want to get on the wrong side of the Canon Fanatics if it is a "Tie Fighter Only" carrier.

We don't know. The only canon source for the Gozanti carrying things is Rebels, and in that they're seen carrying basic TIEs, the TAP, and small walkers.

Looking at the model, it seems unlikely to me that you'll be physically able to fit Defenders or Bombers on those pegs, but we won't really know until the rules are revealed.

Hexis posted a link to some close up pictures of the Gozanti model, including a shot of the docking pylons, both occupied and empty. It looks like only ships with the ball fuselage (TIE LNs, Interceptor and Advanced V/X1s) will fit the dock.

Defenders have hyperdrives so don't need a support ship neither do tie advanced.

Bombers are too long and lack the right connector so they need something larger to carry them.

There is a google image with it on its back and 4 interceptors docked. I don't see why any of the other TIEs wouldn't fit except maybe the Defender.

Well logic has very little to do with this. We have to wait for the rulings.
