I don't think it will be that similar to a stress token.
I also don't think it's effect will rely on memory or judgement to implement, so no repeating your last manoeuvre or being pulled/pushed relative to the attacker.
Lowering agility seems like a likely one to me. This could either be -1 agility per token on large ships, -2 per token on small ships, or -1 per token on small ships, -1 per 2 tokens on large ships.
Interesting that it's a single token, not a pair. It must indeed last only one round, otherwise one ship could have several active tractor beams.
Judging from the picture, I don't think that large ships will require a second token to be affected. There appears to only be a single token per Tractor Beam card included with the Mist Hunter. Either large ships will be affected by one token or they won't be affected at all.

I didn't pick up on the number of tokens that came with the cards! I don't know if it's enough to justify as a clue on how many tractor beam tokens will be needed for a large base ship though. Also, would you give up the possibility of doing damage just to reduce the agility of a ship for one round? Going to be interesting to see what the effects of this cannon is!
I can't see a small ship affecting a large ship via tractor beam... Seems off. But then, the Aggressor seems tailor made for this so not sure what to expect. I really h
This. Maybe the cheap cannon carrier will find a roll. Still probably need a negative cost mod for Scyks to be viable though.
Has anyone considered that it could just be action denial? I.E A ship that has a tractor token must skip its perform action step then, remove all tractor tokens from the ship.
This would mean that a Flechette, Ion and Tractor combo is brutal but quite difficult to get the trifecta.
Fluff wise being caught in a tractor beam would cause you to lose focus but not exactly panic(stress), it would stop you from evading, prohibit any barrel roll like antics and reduce any additional thrust you put into the engines. Only thing fluff wise it doesn't stop is a target lock but I guess you would have more important things to worry about if you had Boba Fett trying to tractor you.

Probably Action denial and All maneuvers increase difficulty by one. So a green is white, white is red, and reds cannot be performed.

I think that it might be worth the opportunity cost of giving up damage and the 1 point if tractor beams limit the dial of the target and remove its ability to shed stress.
If all it does is reduce agility by 1, I don't think they gave it enough dice. Hitting low agility targets won't make much difference (unless they've got C-3PO) and in most case you'd just be better off dealing damage to a high agility ship if you can manage to hit it unless you have several other ships shooting at it.

Maybe not for one, but for 2, on small base ships? I might! Depends what the rest of your squad is, if it's a swam then it could be very good. It would also go nicely with the new and improved ordnance alpha strikes.

I think that it won't have more than one effect, instead of two as someone may have guessed.
True that it deals no damage, but it costs one point.. And that's a price rather low for more-than-one-effect upgrades.
