So, my playgroup has been getting a bit frustrated with the current character situation. We're seeing a lot of similar decks around featuring the better characters out there, Jin, Kazuya, Brian Fury, Astrid, etc. Since SC4-2 got pushed back into December and we're not seeing a big influx of new characters, we decided to try out a new format, of which I'm titling "Old Dogs, New Tricks"
- Format: Old Dogs, New Tricks
- Block: Current, except Character Cards. Any Legacy legal character may be in the deck.
- Other Limitations: None yet, as we're still trying this out
It's an interesting way to look at what character cards are playable now, and what character cards that were released a while back aren't as good as before, or some that blow away what's out there right now. Characters like ***Adon*** are just silly with Ragnar's and Astaroth's support. *Yun-Seong* without his momentum support becomes lousy. Can a ***Maxi*** deck using Ivy's support actually work? There's a lot out there to try out, hopefully it'll do a good job to tide us over until the next set is released (and quite a bit more characters).
Anyone out there going to give this a try? Any suggestions (Let's not hop on the ban wagon yet until we get some testing under it)?
