Ghost and Phantom

So it looks like Ghost will Pack some punch. 4 Attack, 0 Agility, 10 Hull and 6 Shields. Will be interesting across from a Decimator.

Pairing the Ghost and Phantom together appears you can fire an extra turret attack in the round.

With it docked, we could very well be looking at the first "one ship build!"

Does the PS 7 cost 48 or 40 pts?

The Phantom title card refers to the Ghost 's special firing arc , not auxiliary arc. That would make me believe that maybe the VCX-100 only has a forward firing arc for that 4-dice primary weapon, unless the Phantom is attached? Otherwise, why not just call it the auxiliary arc?

That seems likely yes. If the Phantom is docked you can fire from either arc. Which is why it's a special arc and not a aux arc. You can always make a primary attack from the aux arc.

So when docked you can fire out of either arc with the primary, and then make a 2nd attack at the end of the round with an equipped cannon.

Oh and just realized that at range 1 the Ghost is throwing 5 dice...

The punisher has a turret with a title for upping to 3 turret attack dice.

2 turrets in this expansion.

Both the Ghost and Punisher look very cool and unique. Really like them and think they will add some interesting builds into the game.

Ya Im reading this as 1 primary attack with rear option available when docked. Then 2nd attack from special turret when phantom is docked. Total 2 attacks a round.

a 16 hit point ship with a base 4 attack is retarded. Slap expose on it and your attacking with 5 dice a turn 6 at range 1. pair him with the hwk that boosts your attack and you have 6 attack 7 at range 1. Thanks FFG for giving the rebels a better version of the decimator.

Ghost is 40 points, would guess phantom at another 24- 28 points. Then add extra crew and weapons 100 points easy.

Question - will Phantom undock if ghost is destroyed just like Pup does form Houndstooth?

I'm guessing that when docked, the Phantom can't fire - which is why the Ghost gets the extra turret attack.

One thing I'm wondering is whether the docking will be an action after a maneuver and how close you will have to be to initiate docking.

Phantom Cards are covered up, so can't tell how much it will cost, but it has a 3 attack.

Good point, it's not like the Hounds Tooth, it looks like for the Ghost & Phantom you have to pay for both even if the Phantom is docked. That makes the combo fairly expensive.

Even with the PS3 versions of both ships, I'd bet it's going to be 50+ points.

That's for Sabine or Zeb to put on a helmet and throw detonators out the airlock. ;)

This. Also, we haven't seen the dial for the Ghost. If it can't turn well and easily get other ships in arc, those 4 dice won't do much. We do know that it can't boost or barrel roll.

I hope to live the dream and run the ghost with lando crew and some prototype refit A-wings.

And what's the point of the "cannot attack again this round" text at the end of the Phantom title? Is that just about TLT, or do we think there's an end-phase attack somewhere else in the Ghost's bag of tricks?

I think the Alpha Squad is the cheapest 3 attack ship in the game. That means the Phantom is going to be at least 18 points minimum. It's got a lot of slots so it will likely be higher than that.

If you are running the Ghost and Phantom it's going to be your entire list. You might be able to squeak in a Z-95 or a Protoype A-Wing but you'll have to skimp on upgrades.

Doubt it. Probably lose the ship if you don't deploy.

It shuts down Gunner. If you use gunner on your normal attack you can't use the end of combat extra attack. If you miss that attack it can't trigger Gunner.
