As usual the FFG line filled up insanely fast at Gencon. I was in line within 30 seconds and I was about 250 people back I would guess. By the time I got a chance for the raider it was already gone!

Don't quote me on this, but last year, for the pre-release of wave 5, I think they had separate allotments of the stuff for each day of the con. So there may be more available tomorrow.
The guy who was handing out the cards that secured your raider said that he didn't think there was any reserved for tomorrow.
So, it effectively sold out in under 30 seconds. I'm impressed.

There is something to that. Last year GenCon cost me around $1000 and I didn't even have to pay for a hotel room.
(about half of that $1000 was buying stuff that I could have gotten at home sooner or later)
I'm pretty sure the raider and all of wave 7 are about 3-6 weeks out for everyone is the USA. Its not worth paying that price IMO and I have the extra money.

But that was in the middle of dock troubles and some manufacturing delays in china. From what I have been told, it was less than a month from gencon to full release for wave 3.

People that have a decent well paying job and place greater value on expediency than thriftiness. I wouldn't pay that much myself, but I can certainly understand the concept.

I don't see what all the fuss is about anyway. Imperials don't need a big ship, especially one as ugly as that thing. And what's with the TIE Advanced buff, as if they weren't ruining the meta already, might as well get rid of every other ship now ('cept maybe Rebel HWKs).
