Yeah I'm hoping the lines for the report and the 200+ people just for the first rounds of the Nationals show that for both the US and UK next year the official FFG events need to be in bigger places with more tickets available.
Even with their growth and the Asmodee buyout, I highly doubt FFG has, or is, willing to spend the money required to get what you want. They already have a significant portion of the game hall. As big as Gencon is, space is still very much at a premium.
I agree that we can't expect a whole lot more out of Nationals at Gencon given the circumstances.
The Worlds debacle on another hand is ridiculous. I complain about very few things on here and typically come quickly to FFG's defense regarding many of the complaints leveled at them. There is simply no excuse for how they bungled X-Wing at Worlds.

I haven't been this excited since I was 12..and you know, girls. 
Last minute prediction. Huge transport type ship for Imperials. Cost will be low enough that they can include a bunch of cards to balance/buff epic ships and not look like too much of a cash grab to those that "must buy this new ship for their corvette/raider to be viable.
