I think "the boat" is fueled by our tears, so we better get some complaint threads up STAT

FFG usually do their X-Wing "on sale at retailers now" updates on the last Friday of the month.

I think there is plenty of evidence from retailers that the Raider will be out in the next 2-3 weeks.

Wave 7, who knows.

Last year, it was 2-3 months, so don't get your hopes up until there's OFFICIAL notice.

The Raider was marked as 'on the boat' on July 1st. It typically takes 8-10 weeks after that before it's in stores.

So Mid to end of Aug.

It was marked as "on the boat" back on June 6th, too, wasn't it?

As i've said before i *was* hyped about the Raider, its still cool but im no longer on the edge of my seat about it.

This is the most frustrating question for me. They consider it a "release" of wave seven according to the verbage in the articals. But it's a release for only a select few...

I've always been irked with the pre release of stuff at gencon meaning a fraction of people get their hands on stuff that everyone else gets months later.

Say what you like about GW but their 'simultaneous global release' policy is fair and consistant

And there were extenuating circumstances last year. Wave 3 was out about a month later when it got it's pre-release.

If I can't get it, then it's not a release

It's not released until it's official released. That's how it worked with Wave 5. Even though there were units for sale at GenCon they weren't legal to us in a tournament until it was officially released.

I wouldn't mind so much about FFG not doing simultaneous releases if they didn't force the EU distributors to sit on their stock whilst the US got their supply lines straightened out >.<

Exactly! I've waited til retailers actually have them, then order. I usually have the ships within a couple of days of those that preordered and prepaid months in advance!

Can I "like" this twice? I've even pre-ordered before and was told "sorry, we received less of a shipment than planned. You'll have to wait." And they wouldn't give me my money back.

That's why I like the way my FLGS's handles preorders, which is probably consistent with most FLGS's: you let them know you want it, so when it comes they put your name on it and you can come pick it up and pay for it when you're ready.

Here in Italy wave7 and the Raider will hit the shelves on Saturday or Monday at worst.

That's pretty much what happened to me when I preoordered the Rebel Epic ships. "too many pre-orders, you'll have to wait until the next batch comes in.".

Er, no, you can refund my order and I'll buy from someone who has stock now, thanks.
