Jugger's Gen Con Pictures

By JJs Juggernaut, in Star Wars: Armada

So I'm starting this thread to post pictures of FFG Armada items at Gen Con. To start off here is a picture of the North American championship prizes!

This is a full sized Mon Mothma alt art, a custom range ruler, fancy acrylic defense tokens, an Armada bag, and of course the trophy!

More pictures of the booth and reveals to come! I will also try to follow the Tournament tomorrow and Saturday! Stay tuned!

So no wave 2 on sale, but the models were in the case. The rebels are now painted, I'll update I they add cards to the display.

So the third round just finished up and I was too hungry to grab a standings picture, 69 players remained. The top player was 29-1. Next was 28-2 and there were one or two players at 27-3. The 16th place was 19-11. Two more rounds to go tomorrow, and though I will be playing I will try to get pics or discription of the winning fleet!

Some trends I noticed from the tournament. I didn't get to see all the lists, but it seemed that while the imperials had a slightly larger number of players, there were nearly as many Rebels. Most rebel list featured at least one Assault Frigate, but most seem to run 2. I saw a 4 Neb list and a 2 Neb 2 CR 90 list. I was running a 3 Neb 1 CR 90, other than these all the rebels had AF Mk2s. For the imperials I saw a lot of 1 Vic-1 Glad; 1 Vic-2 Glad; 2 Vic; and 3 Vics. There was also a 3 Vic-1 Glad wMotti that seemed to be doing alright.

One other side note, out of 3 matches my 4 point imitative bid was enough to give me choice.

I want that non-carboard ruler!

I love you

That was the scale pic I wanted. The Victory puts the ISD in perspective.

I want those alternate art stuff. . . Why could I not be able to go to GenCon. . .

So the ISD is roughly double the size of the VSD. . .

The ISD looks HUGE!!! The Raider looks really cool, already dreaming up colour schemes :D

Notice the dates on the cards. "Q4 2015"

yeah noticed the q4 as well made me sad inside, that is a big delay.... And that's coming from a Heroclix player.

Hmmmm someone called October. . . It could very well be then. . . Wonder if they will release it in time for black Friday. . .

my bad for some reason I had it in my head that it was originally q2 which doesn't even make sense.

Anybody read the rules on large base size lol? Nearly double medium base

Anybody read the rules on large base size lol? Nearly double medium base

Those are old rules, updates sizes are around 10cm medium and 13cm large

"Assault Imperial Class"?

If it was "Imperial Assault Class" I could understand better, could be an autofill, or just somebody who's worked on IA absent mindedly typing what they're used to typing, but "Assault Imperial"? What's that about?

And the plot thickens for Wave II being allowed at Worlds....

Probably when the ship cards get out out it will be an assault variant?

I'm thinking this looks like an Intern made a typo

size class, p.11

The size of a small ship should read “43mm x 71mm.” The size of a medium ship should read “63mm x 102mm.” The size of a large ship should read “77.5mm x 129mm.”

That Imp-Class SD is so beautiful!

You guys out geek me, and for that, I tip my hat. X

You're a gentleman and a scholar Jugger. My hat is off to you.

Is anyone disappointed by home one? It doesn't seem as awesome as it looked in the movies. Also not as bulbous.
