I thought I'd try to provide the occasional update here, and answer questions as I have the opportunity. Doing this on my phone, so forgive whatever nonsense swype/autocorrect come up with.

I arrived around 7:40 am, started relaxing in the FFG area, and they had the good idea to start registration at 8:20 instead of 9:00. During registration, they also handed out vouchers for wave 7 and the Raider. I took a pic, but not sure how to post it from my phone. I don't expect to see first pairings until 10-10:30.

I mean, there's the obvious, "What do the unspoiled cards say?" questions.

The vendor hall opens in 6 minutes, so with any luck everyone's wait will be over soon. Sadly most of us are busy. The vouchers were a good idea, but difficult to redeem, since we are playing the whole day. Would have been nice for them to last till tomorrow. They are only valid today.

So I had time to check out the line after round one, since they had technical difficulties and gave us a huge lunch break. The line is huge, fire marshal actually put a limit on its size so at times you can't even get in line at all. I didn't attempt it.

Anyway, second round starts at 1:15, hopefully. Yea, just second round, oh look it's 1:35 and still no pairings. This will be a long day.

Dear FFG, this your flagship game how about getting tournament play organized...

So, pairings for round two had to be redone, because the byes were all counted as losses. Then pairings for round three had to be redone, which I think had something to do with drops. That one was quick, and my opponent and table didn't change. 3-0 now, and my last two matches took 25 minutes each. 26 minutes still left in round 3.

What are you flying?

My guess would be:

Oicunn + Pred + Captive + Ysanne

Patrol + Vader + Gunner

Not with 25-minute matches.

Come on bmf, you've watched enough of my matches on vassal to know it's engine upgrade, not Ysanne. :-)

4-0 now! This dream is about to come crashing down, but it's been a fun ride.

And finished 4-3, so unbelievably tired. Last round ended around 11:45. I'll admit to some disappointment. I didn't have high hopes going in, but after 4-0, you start to think you might get somewhere.
