What kind of boat?

The kind with shipping containers full of plastic spaceships?
I'll race you to the booth.
someone bring me one of everything, please
I got a paycheck, and I'm not afraid to use it!
Except the Kwing and its turret, right?
For those that get wave 7 at gencon...

Well, I'm assuming they have quite a few games to announce. Not all of that space is going to be for the Star Wars family.
If someone can pick me up the Rob van Zant model from the corvus belli booth I'm willing to pay for mini plus shipping and throw in a Z95 or two (unopened).... Thought I'd throw that out there, just in case.

Historically they've always put the new stuff in the shelf above the currently available - on the LHS of that photo all three SW mini games have a shelf each with an empty one above ... if I was a betting man I'd say this is where we'll see new product for these games, not in all the blank space on the RHS of the cabinet.
I'm willing to bet, much of that space is devoted to Episode VII product previews.
I believe there is a gag order from Disney on all official announcements regarding Episode VII products until late september

There is, but they've let Hasbro announce and display an Episode VII TIE fighter...
IF they let them show anything, I suspect it will only be models of craft currently visible in the teasers and without any stats for fear of spoilers...
Let me just repost this:
Looks like it was actually a Store Championship interview: http://www.jodocast.com/2015/02/22/x-wing-qa-with-designer-alex-davy/
Specifically "almost done with Wave 8" in late Feb.
Given they've talked about... was it 18-month planning cycles?, it would have had started development beginning of 2014, WAY too early for Episode 7.
MAYBE an entirely new game, but no Episode 7 for X-wing in the near future.

Oh i know. But still in the glory section there is a lot of room for new toys!
No doubt there will be both rejoicing and tears on this forum with the news of the next wave.

I can cry when I am VERY HAPPY...

I could see that. A new Tie and X-wing or new starter based on ep 7. But we would not see much else.
I would like if they just announced some aces and then said next wave is Ep seven, no preview of new units.
The third-hand hints I've heard, combined with my own speculation, leads me to think we'll see a Snowspeeder in Wave 8. So this is me calling it. Will glory or shame follow me for this reckless speculation?

I think you seriously overestimate the amount of work to adapt a new pilot/ship to a model.
I mean, seriously, what about Boba Fett's role in the movies made you think 'oh, here is a guy who can slightly change his maneuver late in the round' or 'he's really good when surrounded by enemies, so gets to reroll based on that'?
The mechanics sometimes - SOMETIMES - map thematically to what we saw on screen. But as often as not, they are just interesting mechanics that FFG has been long playtesting for balance, but may as well have drawn the name of the pilot to assign them to from a hat no more than a day or two before announcing it.
And even in cases when a thematic fit makes sense, it's often easy to drop-in replace models. Maybe FFG had playtested out a bunch of new TIE Fighter pilots as a planned 'Aces' expansion, only...well, heck, turns out Episode VII TIE Fighters look nearly the same as any other, just repainted. *Bam*, all those get the new pilots FFG was working on - have to change their names to whatever will be in the movie (maybe), but whatever. Just names.
Or perhaps FFG had planned on releasing the TIE: Aggressor in wave 8. Now we suddenly find out Episode VII has a TIE Fighter that can fire backwards...easy-peasy, that model gets released with all the playtesting work that had gone into what would have been the TIE Aggressor.
etc., et al

If they were almost done with Wave 8 in February, it stands to reason that they would be able to announce and show it off now.
What makes you think that Wave 8 can't be associated with Episode VII? They filmed the entire movie last year - I think it's pretty believable that toy and game manufacturers would have had information on the movie by late last year or early this year.

as long as the rest of us get it only a week or two later...
I hope so, that would imply Europe might get it sometime in time for christmas.

The PS2 generic is called Asphixiation Squadron Pilot.

Because it's even more out of era than the prequels. I reckon the Episode VII stuff will have its own game.

Any news on Crackshot, Advanced Homing Missiles?
This.
Patience guys. The Hall doesn't open until 10 est. So, unless one of our sources is a VIG, they still have 45 minutes to get in, and then wait in the line.
Assuming of course the survive the opening rush.
