I know you can't take actios, even free action, when stressed but is there a combination of pilot skill and upgrade cards that would give another pilot an action when stressed? Ignoring pilots like Tycho that eat stress for breakfast.

The only thing I can think of sort of skirts the issue by using Wingman to remove a stress from a ship at the start (Thanks dvor, this is definitely what I meant.) of the combat phase and then someone like Airen Cracken can give that ship an action.

Gotcha! I thought there was at least one case where a stressed pilot got an action while stressed. Can't remember where I read or heard that. Can't remember the situation at all. I'll chalk it up to CRS.

Played with wingman once or twice on two ships. Same PS and used each as the wingman for the other. Didn't work as well as I thought it would. May have to revisit that build with different ships.

Tycho is the only exception to that. For everybody else stress means no actions.

Wingman removes stress at the start of the combat phase. Wouldn't work with Cracken otherwise. But even then: There is no stress while performing the action.

Keyan Farlander, Soontir Fel, and Ibtisam all get actionish things when they get stressed.

Also, stress doesn't prevent you from acquiring a target lock so long as it's not an action, as from Dutch and FCS. Nor does it prevent you from being assigned tokens, as from Kyle or Soontir's abilities.

Thanks for the replies. Maybe one of my two grey cells was hallucinating. I thought about this a couple of months back and I thought at the time it was pretty cool. I'm pretty sure it was in a thread but can't remember where. It's very possible it was referring to Tycho and just playing with A-wings brought it back to me. Anyhow, thanks for the responses.
