So today is 07/29/2015 (obviously), which puts the new tournament rules into effect. As of the time of this post, FFG still has not fixed the tournament rules to include Modified Wins when scoring. We all know this is a huge oversight by FFG, and allegedly they admitted by Twitter that it was a typo, but if a TO doesn't frequent the forums I am afraid the rules may be taken at face-value and no longer include Modified Wins. Does anyone here have any pull with FFG to get this corrected?

Honestly, they shouldn't. Modified wins are just losses in disguise unless you can win all your games.

But I understand it will go back. I don't think anyone is going to argue the point at Gencon, but it would be pretty funny if it happened. They are likely too busy to change it now

If it's a typo, they need to tell those of us playing tomorrow. It can wildly alter end game strategies if a 1 point win is worth the full 5 points.

modified wins give 2 match points to the house. As the other player only receives a loss as in 0 a modified win just reduces your match point victory from 5 to 3.

Now that being said 2 modified wins are more than a 1-1 (6 > 5) but still you won't make the cut off of modified wins.

If noone asks the TO before it starts, they are complacent and accept whichever version he plans to use (he plans to use modified wins unless he's an anarchist).
