Quick question guys. Does tactician work when using Boba Fett's rear firing arc? If so, does it work on turreted ships?

Yes and no, respectively.

To elaborate. Tactician requires a firing arc. The auxiliary arc on a firespray (and, soon, the hounds tooth) is an arc, and so tactician works. Turrets do not have an extra or expanded firing arc, they have a special rule that allows them to fire outside of their normal arc. So a tactician on a turreted ship only triggers when the target is inside the ship's normal firing arc.

Also worth keeping in mind that determining whether or not a target is in arc happens completely independently of determining range. You determine whether a ship is in arc using the rules for arc, then you determine what range the ship is at using the rules for range.

And to elaborate on a slightly different, but related tangent, the auxiliary arc is a primary weapon arc, which means you can't shoot secondary weapons within the auxiliary arc, only primary weapons. But it is an arc for the likes of Tactician, Howlrunner, Backstabber, etc.
