I thought most of the names were in the EU books? Haven't read them so I could be wrong.
Having lived in several different countries around the world I can say that names are themselves very subjective as to being a "good" or "bad" name. My boys were born in Japan but I couldn't think of a single Japanese boy name I really liked, had about 50 girls names lined up though....

In the Brazilian dub of the prequels, they had to change the name of Master Sfo dyas (Master "you ****ed Yourself") and Count Doku (count "of the anus") because they were phonetically vulgar

He's been thinking about his life, you guys.
When my incredible wife and I were writing out wedding invitations she was naming her friends who were going to attend. As we're from different countries I hadn't met any but the closest. She rattled off some names including "Amanda Morrow". I laughed, said "I'd rather Amanda Mow-the-lawn-today!". Took me 20 minutes of convincing before I believed that Amanda Morrow is a real person .. and she's actually pretty cool!
In other news. Tin Tin is renamed to Chan-Chan in Japan. Chin-Chin (there's no 'ti' sound in Japanese) is a cutesy word for a young fellas dangly bits.
I kind of like some of the Star Wars surnames. Skywalker, Darklighter, D2, etc.
