I think that's what we're getting. I'm not sure if that's what we'll see Friday though.

Remember that olden goldie, i do back when those of us predicting a third faction were mocked endlessly, maybe they are reusing art maybe we'll see that fighter never say never.

The fact that FFG somewhat unexpectedly decided to open up a third faction is not evidence that nothing should be ruled out, ever.

It's a variant in the same way that, say, the TIE Interceptor is a variant of the TIE Fighter.

They're built around the same basic hull design, but they have completely different loadouts and capabilities.

Also, as is the case with most Star Wars Galaxies Privateer ships, there's a ridiculous amount variation in possible appearances for the ships. I mean, look at this, the top 4 variants look like a completely different ship from the bottom 4. The cockpit isn't even in the same place.
