Where do I get my reserved ticket?

By xXxAngronxXx, in X-Wing

So I won the Tacoma Washington Regional tournament and was told that there would be a reserved spot for me at Worlds.

After looking through FFG's worlds articles and information i cant seem to find anything on were to find the tickets...

If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated

Doesn't regional give you a bye into nationals?

Yes but it also gives the winners reserved spots at Worlds for US regional winners and some other countries national winners.

Angron, you should email ffg OP but they are all headed to GenCon so might be a delay in getting a reply.

From the Organized Play Worlds Signup Page:

National and U.S. Regional Champions

National Champions and U.S. Regional Champions should contact [email protected] for access to their reserved spots. We will reply with access to your reserved spot, and the process for registering will be the same as the registration process outlined above.

Reminder: The spot reserved for National and U.S. Regional Champions is only in the game for which they won their tournament. National and U.S. Regional Champions must still register for other events on their own.

Well that's pretty cool

Does Canada have that?

I didn't hear anything about that at the Canadian regionals in Atlantic Canada

If you win the Canadian Nationals you will have a spot reserved at worlds but you won't have any costs paid for by Organized Play to get you there. Canadian Regionals don't net you anything other than a bye at the Canadian nationals.

Go Canada

Does op pay the winner way in other countries?

Getting a free trip is a hell of a prize if they did

So why does Canada get shafted?

Too close; have more travel options; considered 53rd state?

I have no idea why the Canadian National winner is left off the "paid way" to Worlds. Would be a question worth getting answered from OP.

It has nothing to do with the ffg OP. The countries with winners getting paid for is being covered by the local distributor. Not ffg.

That could explain it

Lion rampant is garbage here in Canada

They have definite room for improvements but they're not all bad.

From what I've heard from suppliers they not good at all.

The one store that had a healthy group of xwing has now refused to by any ffg products from them.

I don't know the whole story, but from what I've heard locally and from others online they are pretty piss poor

Though not related to the store not buying anythin ffg related from L.R our xwing community died over night with a lot moving on to armada, and the store owner sure didn't help revitalize the community (which I was trying to do) by saying he was no longer going to order any kit or ffg products through them

That's unfortunate. They've helped out our group and another. They're also open to feedback. I sent them a bunch on regionals and nationals.

Ya it really is

We had a good turnout of players which is beyond my expectations for P.E

I and everyone was so enthusiastic.

Then literally over night we lost a huge chunk of our players, and others moved on to armada

Since we weren't going to do tournament anymore I asked the store owner if he could get kits in for me

I'd cover the cost, and split up the goods with whoever was interested, and was not interested in making money (it just a lot cheaper to get a kit in rather than travel out of province to play in a tournament as I'm trying to collect the alt art cards)

Sounded like he would, then few weeks later told me he wrote lion rampant a nasty email and was not happy with them and ffg.

Really don't understand it. Especially since a lot bought the armada wave 1 stuff, and as a new store and small business, I don't see how that is good for business.

Also when he got wave 6 in I think he.Had like 10 of everything which sold out in two days, again extremely well for P.E.I

I don't know, but when you spend a lot of money and support a store I didn't feel the attitude was towards the customer was very good

It's too bad, I really like everyone there and the atmosphere and the store owner is very friendly, but I want to support a store who will also support my plastic Crack addiction lol

Anyway, between that store and some through posts online Ive heard some bad things about lion rampant and way they treat some retailers

Was that last year because this years Nationals is worst than last years, like sticking it again in the same area and making it cost 80$+ just to play 5 rounds of swiss.

This year. Few weeks ago.
