I am contemplating in switching either

Ysanne Issard

or Rebel Captive to Darth Vader.

Any thoughts?

May I ask your primary target for Vader?

I face the same dilemma, but so far I am keeping Vader out.

My primary target for vader is Soontir Fel

However it will also be useful to down un shielded x wings or phantoms

Here is the build i used at Regional with RAC

This help getting to the phantoms before they can use there ACD. Also gunner/vader combo keeps those Tie Ints in check real quick. The only down fall with this set up is that you are going to LOSE Chirpy. Ysanne Issard will keep RAC alive longer but that comes down to play style.

Some people like VI on Chiraneau to deal with phantoms (whisper). Its a preference thing really

I would never run Vader on a Fat RAC... 65 points for 16 health is one thing... 65 points for 14 health to deal an extra 1.3 damage to someone during the game is just not worth it, imo...

Best Vader to run with Chiraneau has his own ship, and some very important upgrades that are coming out now-ish.

basically, I'd remove R.A.C and everything he has except for gunner. Then, give gunner and vader to a patrol leader; Oicuun if you're cheeky.

It's an expensive suicide boat, but at least it's not a stupidly expensive suicide boat

-VI

I guess it also depends on what you fly alongside your RAC

My preference is RAC with Experimental Interface, Expose, Gunner, Rebel Captive, Ysanne Isard

With a Lambda Omnicron with Vader, Tactician, FCS and HLC

That gives you 2 big ships, 4 shots each, both induce stress, 2 action benefit per turn and good heath for Vader.

RAC != Vader

Vader !=RAC

my rule of thumb.

Thats 60 points your giving away, that may or may not pay back.
