I thought i had read previously that the tool kit would contain enough extra tokens etc to include more PCs comfortably in the game (back when there was a lot of talk of the core set only supporting 3 players plus a GM, which we now know not to be strictly true..)

But in the list of contents a character keeper doesn't seem to be mentioned.

Has it been confirmed anywhere if the toolkit will have addtional keepers in there?

I'm now struggling to work out exactly how many pcs can be comfortably handled using the core set (and how many extra can comfortably be handled with the toolkit), and by comfortably handled I mean without having to photo copy cards (tut tut) or share cards, or keep tokens in a plastic tub etc etc

i would have thought the toolkit (plus extra dice) might have been the "default" buy for a player wishing to move from group to group, for instance, but now I'm not so sure that is the case...

I do seem to recall hazily that it did include additional character keepers, yes, to allow for more players than 3. You're right that it isn't listed in the contents ... but it does say:

"Inside you will find more that 50 action cards, 30 talent cards, 10 new careers, 4 new party sheets, a pad of character sheets, new character standups, extra tokens to help manage your heroes, and much more! "

So it is quite possible that the keepers are part of the 'much more' (being less exciting than the other stuff).

In the seminar video, when talking about the toolkit, Jay Little says "...the Adventurer's Toolkit provides the perfect opportunity if you want to add another person to your campaign..." While, again, he never mentions a character keeper, he does specifically mention adding another Person, which would seem to necessitate at least one more keeper.

It seems to me that FFG should sell extra Character Keepers as a cheap product to increase party size, say $5-10 or something like that...

This is a quick, and hopefully answerable, question about the new WFRP 3e Adventurer's Toolkit. I don't think giving this answer out will spoil anything ... Will the Toolkit contain additional character keepers (allowing additional players), and if so how many?

Great question! I see that we'll need to update the product page to address this.

The Adventurer’s Toolkit is packaged with a slipcase that wraps around an inner box. The inner box is a sturdy, two piece box adorned with a distinctive Warhammer Fantasy design. Once the player has integrated the components from the Toolkit as he wishes, the box doubles as a convenient, attractive character keeper to store all the cards and information needed to manage a hero in the system.

So yes, the Toolkit comes with a single character keeper. I also will expect FFG will eventually sell keepers separately too, just like I expect everything else will eventually be able to be purchased separately.
