For some reason even though my net connection is fine I can't access most of the websites I normally can Yahoo, google, MSN and tons of other sites appear to be down, Is it just me or what?

Have you checked Twitter? Reset your router? Who is your provider?

I worked for a university that had blitzing fast internet. Due to new scholarships becoming available to a particular region of the globe, we experienced a sudden influx of one nationality. Internet speed all but stopped. I later learned that that the students were DLing movies and music like crazy through various websites from their home country.

Is it possible that there is something draining your ISP like this?

I get that same problem when my daughter is home from college in the summer. Having a slow router doesn't help.. but that's to be rectified soon.

What browser do you use? The websites might have changed to only support the latest. That happens at work for me. My job just recently okayed the newest IE. Previously to that I had to use Chrome to access some sites.
