Anyone have the Core book yet?

By RogueCorona, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

I just received my GM Kit from Miniature Market. My CRB is still in transit.

They both were filled at the same time, but once they got to shipped status, they became separated in their timings. Hooray for the USPS.... LOL

And I actually got the GMK quicker than I expected using just Priority Mail option... I definitely would rather support my FLGS since am friends with the owner, but if I have to order online, I have had nothing but good experiences so far with MM.

OK Just got my core book This Afternoon, Wondering if the Adz Class Destroyer is actually a Gladiator class Star Destroyer, as there is a Picture on 252 of the Gladiator.

It's not. Read the description and compare.

Still no news from Mini Market and no response to my inquiry. I don't wanna be bitching, but these are not the customer services I'm looking for. (Guess I am bitching a bit.)

Local friends tell me Miniature Market shipped their books starting just 31 July. So, there's that, I guess?

I placed my order with them on Thursday night and it's been shipped, I got my tracking number yesterday. No estimated delivery date, though.

See I placed it several weeks ago and nothing. And the shipping was 90$, almost as expensive as the books I ordered. I'm sure I'm going with another store next time.

Where do you live that the shipping was $90?! I use them for nearly all my purchases and they've been consistently good to me. Standard shipping usually takes 4-5 days. Sorry you're having a bad experience :(

I got it today in Anchorage, Alaska.

This release is going so much more smoothly than the last two core rulebooks.

Europe. So it's gonna take a lot of time to get here even without unnecessary delays like this. :(

Finally they got back to me and it turns out that after they got F&D and my order was complete, someone sent it back to pre-order stage and there it got stuck. So basically pre-ordering and paying the money early was pointless. They will hopefully ship it on Monday.

Report from the South Shore of Massachusetts.

I should have just gone and bought it on a day trip to Boston. It's in a few game stores there. Still waiting for mine to reach me.

Eesh, good luck man. That really sucks.

Picked my core F&D book and GM screen Friday at GenCon. I also grabbed the Imperial Assault expansion Twin Sons with the C-3PO & R2D2 pack, Boba Fett pack, and Stormtrooper commander guy pack.

I'm actually pleased with my restraint, for a change. I do want the book (hell, the whole line) and I know I'll get it, but I also recognize I have no immediate need for it. So I'm just gonna chill, finish reading Desperate Allies, and get the book when the time (and money!) is right. :)

You are indeed powerful, as the Emperor has foreseen.

I'm of a similar mind. I've already ordered the book, but as I'm in the UK and it doesn't appear to be available here yet, I'll get it when I get it. Not in any rush to play as I'm about to start a short Honor and Intrigue campaign first. (Funnily enough, the ruleset I was thinking of converting Star Wars to due to the dueling system :D )

They have started shipping from Miniature Market, so keep an eye out later today. Yours just might have been one of the orders they didn't get to yesterday. They said they had a lot of preorders for the book so it might take a day or two to process everything and ship them out. Mine's in transit so they'l be on the way very soon.

Every time I check my order status and find it's still processing, an Inquisitor kills an Order 66 holdout.

My order with MM is stuck on "Processing" too :( And I've preordered a long time ago.

Just got my shipping notice. Caleb Dume will live to see another day.

I got my shipping notice from MM about the same time that same day...I always push the order to just over $100 to get the free shipping. You get what you pay for...and it seems shipping times actually got a day or two longer for me since they switched to FedEx from UPS. Tracking number says Monday, Aug 10. Still, I don't HAVE to have it immediately, and the savings is hard to beat.

Any special rules on the F&D GM Kit?

Any special rules on the F&D GM Kit?

Lightsaber construction rules. Gives the options for checks instead of spending money for the hilts, and the option to use a check to build a lightsaber to gain a variety of bonuses and possibly penalties in the event of failure/threat/despair. And increased difficulty for the building check if you want to penalize players for building a lightsaber without the necessary instructions/schematics.

The book and GM kit are in the mail. FedEx says they won't be here until Monday, but according to the package tracker they're only one state away now so I'm hoping they might make it before the weekend. We'll see.

I GOT MINE! I GOT MINE!

I GOT MINE! I GOT MINE!

It's never good when an Inquisitor says that.

Got mine on Saturday, though I didn't get home until Sunday. No RPG thieves in my neighborhood after all.

In a few days I'll have the book :D

So, Beta + Errata (Final) + Some clarifications and awesome pictures is the final core book result?

And another question, Inquisitor's Parry/Reflect still cost no Strain? Thanks!

PS: Post 1000! XD

Inquisitors pay strain to use Parry and Reflect.

Inquisitors pay strain to use Parry and Reflect.

Ok, I say because this line "Parry 5: When struck by a melee attack but before applying soak, the Inquisitor may perform Parry as an out-of-turn incidental as long as he is wielding a lightsaber or melee weapon. He reduces the damage by 7." was confusing.

The Fallen Master and the Aprentice (and other archetypes) use Strain as the rule says, but maybe Inquisitor is a super mob with special rules like abilities (like act twice per round) or more benefits from Talents/Powers.

Yeah, that very thankfully got changed in the corebook.

Inquisitors now have to pay strain, just like anybody else using Parry or Reflect. They also only get 4 ranks now instead of 5, make them a bit less tanky vs. non-Breach attacks.

Thanks for the Update Donovan ;)

So, any new or interesting update? Spoiler me! I have to wait a few days yet please! XD

I have just put in the order for mine. Hopefully I'll get it before the weekend.
