Hey guys, I need advice on some squad builds for my first FLGS tourney. I've only played twice before, but won both times. I used a scum Boba Fett list and an Echo/Vader/ Academy TIE group, but I am a little concerned going into the tournament. I know one player likes to run a Decimator/Vader combo, and he beat the more experienced guy who used a fat Boba Fett (that he called Boba Fatt) and a HWK for support. Another guy really likes A-wings and B-wings, and the only other player I know of who is entering likes a bomber squad of Y-wings.
So I was considering three lists, mainly with the Decimator squad in mind, but was curious as to how they would hopefully fare.

rookie tournament list advice
I once saw a battle report with the first list, however it had Soonts, Whisper, and Backstabber. It was interesting. Gives the opponent a hard time in target choice and each have goodies to be a pain. In the battle report, it was flown against X-Wings, so I really can't say if it was a great list or not.
In the second list, I'd say trade out the spacer for a Z-95 if you're looking to block, but I'm not very experienced with blocking.
I think the third one could be pretty good, but you would have to try it. My natural tendency would be to drop the ordnance and swap the Bandit for another B, Y, or A-Wing. Maybe even trade them for another Z-95.
Which list do you have the most experience with? For a FLGS tourney, I would go with whichever that is. You'll have a much easier time with something you've flown before than something new, usually.

After playing imperials for some time i swapped for fathan builds recently. Thats a beast.
But few modifications:
Get rid of that missles on chewie, you not gonna use them anyway, trust me.
Same goes for z95 missiles, he often gonna go down before having chance to shoot em.
I had the same tendency when i started xwing: missles! missles everywhere! And besides few ships (awing proton rockets, heavy load bombers )missles suck in our game:D
As for chewie i would add luke instead of gunner maybe and you need some defensive crew, for chewie r2-d2 is perfect if you have him. if you don't have cr90 for r2 , any crew boosting your shields or evades gonna work. If you lack such a defensive crew try going with lando as a pilot and chewie as crew, maybe.
As for supporting craft: you may try going some ace bwing like numb with hlc or farlander with ptl, but single b gonna be shot magnet and drop fast.
Either go with 4 naked z95 or you may try going with naked biggs for additional tanking potential for falcon and a naked blue squad, since b wing is good on its own.
