Faithful Bodyguard question

By darklogos, in UFS Rules Q & A

When using faithful bodyguard do you discard the character card from your hand or your staging area or both? Also is there a way to use faithful bodyguard without having to keep up with the many enhances your opponent drops so you can knock the attack down to 1 at the end of all their damage pumps? The reason I say that because I thought once you pass on your enhancement turn you couldn't play enhances for the rest of the attack.

Without the text of FB right in front of my I can't speak to the first question.

The answer to your second question really has more to do with tactics then rules, but I'll give it a shot. For starters, passing doesn't preclude enhancing again later in the enhance step. The enhance step only ends when both players pass in succession. So if you keep passing, waiting for the right time to play your FB enhance, and your opponent passes earlier then you had expected, it's too late for you to enhance. One thing you can do is wait until you think they're almost done and then start using enhances yourself (possibly irrelevent or useless ones, FREX Robes' E: Your attack gets +2 speed on their attack. Since it's not YOUR attack, it does nothing.) so that he can't end early and leave you in the lurch.

Thanks for the info. Sadly I just put the card up. But the cost is to destroy the foundation and discard a character card. It didn't say from where.

Discard means from your hand unless the ability specifies otherwise.

Thanks for the info.
