B-Wing Advice

with proper play, int agent > arc-dodgers

and that includes Fat Han, who is also an arc-dodger that also can't be arc-dodged

Fat Han isn't the Arc Dodger. Unless you EU and EH him up he won't be doing any post dial maneuver correction.

Super Dash however is the Arc Dodger as Super Dash can correct after the dial.

I think you might be a little confuse as what constitutes an arc dodger and what doesn't. Arc dodgers are not high maneuverability and great dial selection. They are ships that have positioning corrections. It is not to difficult to use, all you have to do is after everyone has revealed their dials and if you have the Pilot Skill bid then simply you already see where the arcs are and all the guess work of the dials are not as useful. You can never out guess an arc dodger with dials as they will already know what your dial is and simply Boost & Barrel-roll out of your arc.

Now of course turrets are the easiest way of dealing with them. However a new form of Arc dodger has came in the form of IG-88s with their s-loops and autothrusters. They have only 2 less hit points than dash but make up for it with not only more hit points than small based ships but that their dial can allow them to cover any direction they can face. There are not longer these K-turn blind spots that can be picked out. They have enough health to take a few hits B +HLC gives them the firepower to lay down hurt on anything that they are within range 3, Also at range 3 their 4 agility dice gets an evade with a blank.

Brobots have essentially become the paper to the rock known as Fat Turrets. Swarms are gone instinct thanks to the MOV meta. Arc dodgers like soontir and Whisper do more damage at range 1 where they want to be but with turrets they cant risk it. IG-2000's love being at range 3 and they get an extra evade dice with autothrusters so they can out gun super dash in a long range fight.

These are the new 3 pillars of the meta. The meta has moved from more of positioning game than a composition.

  • Fat Turrets, Range 1
  • Arc Dodgers, Range 1 out of arc
  • Bro-bots Range 3 or range 2 out of arc

wait, people don't EU Han?

where the hell are these miraculously easy to kill pancakes and where may I find them?

In all seriousness, fat han and EU come stapled together and they're remarkably easy to dodge arcs with because you can maneuver in any direction, boost in any direction, and still get their shots off. Arced ships have no such luck.

also, "out guessing" an arc-dodger is incredibly possible (no idea where people get the idea that it isn't) if they don't have a PWT because you can engineer one of two scenarios

a.) you predict properly and good **** happens, such as he moves with his dial, gets blocked, and gets ****** because he can't reposition

b.) Soonts runs away, and can't shoot you because he had the poor judgement to bring an arced ship into the game
