Stress and overlapping question...

By pedersen, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hi,

I've been busy learning the game and have come into two different situations that I hope can be clarified.

1. On page 17, the rulebook states that if a ship performs a k-turn and overlaps, then to treat it as a straight maneuver with the same speed and color revealed on the dial. So my question is does that mean it is now a red straight maneuver and said ship recieves a stress token even though it didn't perform the k-turn?

2. If my ship is stressed and it performs a green maneuver that ends with it overlapping another ship, is it still considered a green maneuver and the stress would melt away?

I think I know the answers, but I'd just like to make sure. Thanks!

1) Yes. Even though you cant complete the K turn, you still recieve a Stress token if it was a red manuver.

2) Yes. And again even if you cant complete the green manuver, you still get to clear 1 Stress.

2) As Croste said, but of course you lose your action because of overlapping

Thanks for clearing that up!

Be aware that if you overlap an obstacle you still perform the K-turn as normal. It is only if your base overlaps a ship's base that you need to do the straight with stress adjustment.

Well I've been getting number 2 wrong. I've always thought that if you perform a green maneuvre and land on a ship .. you keep your stress. Doozy.
